    Microsoft Rewards Xbox Gift Card Issue


    I have a Microsoft Rewards account that I use to purchase gift cards and Xbox Live on for my Xbox Live account. Recently, I purchased a $10 gift card on my Microsoft Rewards account but instead of a code to redeem, I was dealt with a direct deposit. If knowing
    so I wouldn't have purchased the gift card because my Xbox Live account is not the same as my Microsoft Rewards account.

    I quickly emailed Microsoft Rewards telling them of the issue. They told me that there was nothing that they could do at all. The terms and conditions stated what I was receiving. I told them that the gift card holds no value to me in this account, is there
    anything they could do? They referred that I contact Xbox support.

    I contacted Xbox support, the agent said they were "on my side." I thought, "finally someone who is actually going to help me get through this nightmare of an issue." After we went through the verification process, come to find out they didn't have the "tools"
    to assist me any further and to contact the forums.

    So here I am, pleading my case, trying to find somehow to just use the card without just blowing it into something I don't want or need.

    Paul from Xbox Forums Team here to assist with the issue, it looks like the option to redeem xbox gift cards is currently not an option for Microsoft rewards. Here is a link for more information in regards to this issue.

    If you redeem your Microsoft Rewards points for a $5 Xbox Gift card. You receive $5 on your Microsoft account. You do not receive a physical gift card.

    Microsoft Rewards Xbox Gift Card Issue

    For help with the Microsoft Rewards program, you would need to contact their customer support via their redemption page. The Xbox Rewards program is not the same.

    The rewards states "Get an Xbox Gift Card to buy games, devices, and more at Microsoft Store online, on Windows, and on Xbox." And doesn't state any caveats.

    Also 10 months ago I purchase an xbox elite controller 2 and used reward gift card to do it without issue.

    How to get Minecraft with Microsoft reward

    If you have enough Microsoft reward points, then you need to redeem the reward points for Xbox/Microsoft Gift Cards on the redeem page of Microsoft rewards. Then once the gift card codes have been emailed to you, then you can redeem those gift card codes on https://account.microsoft.com/billing/redeem Once you have enough money from the Xbox Gift Cards, you can then purchase Minecraft from the Microsoft Store or Xbox Store (depending on which version you want).

    yes xbox gift cards will work on pc,s and yes you need xbox live gold go for xbox live gold first.
