Microsoft Rewards Broken On XSX Home (Dashboard)

I added the Microsoft Rewards app to Home and it's been working fine for over 2 weeks - it actually still works normally on another profile on this same XSX. But, as you can see it's gone blank, with a "Try again in a while" falsely optimistic message. The start/menu button does nothing on the icon/thumbnail. The Rewards app itself still works, and I can put the it in a Group by itself on the Home screen - but that's not ideal.

Short of a console Reset, which obviously I want to avoid (I assume I will still have a lot to endure after a Reset even if I choose to save my apps and data - and if apps are being saved I'm not sure it'll fix it), I have tried many ways to repair it.

I removed Rewards from Home, and re-added it; I have deleted the app from Storage, and reinstalled it;

I have tried unplugging the console for 5 minutes to clear the cache; I have deleted the Blu-ray's Persistent Storage, also to clear the cache (absolutely bizarre secret method to clear the cache); finally, I have just installed today's Xbox software update.

...Obviously nothing has fixed its icons/thumbnails on the Home page. If I knew where Home screen customisation data was stored I would delete it, but I can't see that in my HDD (SSD) storage.

Can I find the customisation data and delete it, or is Reset the only option?

The Powercycle didn't resolve the Home screen error, whether the Rewards app was already on the home page or if it was installed after.

The Reset, with keeping apps/games and saves, has not fixed it either! Although it's very quick a painless.

However, during the reset process I was given the option to restore "settings from your last Xbox" - so, I will reset again and not restore those system settings.

If that doesn't fix it after I have to manually chose all my settings again I will properly cry. 😭😭😭😭

...I will be back in (probably) an hour or two (I like my settings to be right the first time)...

The best route from there to support seemed to be Contact us > Games and apps > Game won't update > XSX > Skip > Request a call.

...But calls are listed as "Currently unavailable."

...Seems, I have to just use the Rewards app via the Group icon I created, or go through a full factory reset, without being sure the app thumbnails will be fixed. I think I'll just leave it broken.

OK, I think I tried the holding the power button method, but I will retry it, and then remove the Rewards app from home and uninstall it, and try it again then too.

Then I will do the (non-factory) Reset and report back...
