    I've tried that they close the new ticket and tell me to use the old ticket which has been open since last week again as I know I've stated a number of times they have done nothing but tick me off and frustrate the ever living

    Hi Kimbo!

    Thanks for reaching out to us with this issue. If I'm understanding everything correctly, you're having an issue with Microsoft Rewards on your account and have previously reached out to our Microsoft Rewards support team, as indicated by your previous posts.
    All of the Ambassadors are correct and you've reached out to the correct department. I do apologize for the frustration you're experiencing with the process at this point, but am sincerely glad that you've got a ticket out for it.

    The best advice that can be offered at this juncture would be to follow up with that original ticket number for the best results. If you have received any emails from the agent that opened that ticket, you can reply directly to it and it will get back to
    that person specifically and hopefully they'll respond with an update. Another option would be to
    contact Xbox Support directly, refer to that ticket number and ask that they look into the case to see if there is anything going on with it or if there is any information that
    they can provide you about it.

    As an addendum to this reply from Amber, I find it is fairly effective to follow up on the original ticket number through the virtual agent. If you got to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us, click "Ask the virtual agent", the fastest way to talk to a person
    is to type "talk to a person", then type "Xbox", then after a list of nonsense suggestions pops up, type "talk to a person" again. Then select chat.

    Especially if you aren't getting replies to your emails. It can take 24 hours for the microsoft rewards team to respond, but usually if I don't get a email response from them in about 48 hours after my reply, I follow up with virtual agent to make sure it's
    open. It's not unreasonable to question the status of a support ticket, even more so if your responses are timely as well.

    I hope this helps, if they try to push you off to the microsoft rewards team link again, I would escalate to a manager and see if they have a direct number you can reach the rewards team at, or somebody who can pull out the big guns and make this happen

    Thank you, I have tried everything humanly possible to not hate the rewards department and they make it impossible. I reply multiple times a day to the ticket asking for updates and resolution and as I say Friday will be a week since I logged the original
    ticket and I am no closer to a resolution than I would be if I had just not logged a ticket. I could not be further frustrated with Microsoft right now. I have given them my cell number in my replies to the ticket asking that they reach out to me so we can
    resolve the ticket immediately and yet no they don't seem to be able to resolve the ticket without a phone call and they don't seem to be able to pick up the phone and call me to get it resolved. I'm ready to just pull the plug and move on. Life is too short.
    Microsoft seems to have a habit of implementing all these "niceties" that don't work and that they don't support. The concept of the rewards program is great but if you can't fix it and it doesn't work then why even introduce it. It just frustrates your
    customers. If my grandson didn't use the Xbox when he's here I would pull the Microsoft plug completely.

    Thanks for the suggestion, I'm trying that now. If that doesn't work, I'm just going to give up I think as I don't have time or patience or energy to continue this struggle with them anymore. It is ridiculous that the person I am responding to doesn't
    seem to be able to respond and resolve my issue. It really isn't that hard. I'm guessing they are suspending me because as I say I linked my grandsons rewards account to my rewards account for family sharing and if that's the case I've already unlinked them
    hoping that would clear the issue but until they can push a button or respond intelligibly on their side I'm dead in the water.

    Agreed, I've had a similar situation where my credit card expired and they suspended my account balance and I couldn't make any purchases when I added a new card. I had to spend about 3 hours chatting with them to get it resolved.

    Hope this ultimately works out for you. Xbox is really a great ecosystem, don't let THE MAN get you down.

    I've always had good luck with Xbox support and honestly wish I'd never signed up to use Microsoft Rewards as it has been more of a headache and
    [Mod Removed - Profanity] than anything. It seemed like a great way to earn points to buy game upgrades, etc. but if they can't fix the issues or provide decent modes of communication for supporting it then it just isn't worth it. I tried
    to do the 3 part challenge they introduced back in September or October and it was a problem with every phase of the challenge. They clearly have issues with the rewards program and I'm guessing all the problems will eventually be the death of the program
    all together. I keep updating the ticket and I'm sure next week I'll still be waiting for them to fix it and eventually I'll just give up and let them win.

    Unfortunately no they told me they couldn't help I would have to contact Rewards and they had no way of connecting me over there by phone that email is the only way to reach them. The guy was nice so not his fault but kind of stinks that they can't escalate
    it to anyone since the bozos in rewards are MIA.

  14. Very sad. They must have changed protocol after they absorbed Xbox Live Rewards. Back in the day, the support I talked with was able to help me unsuspend my account. It was a side conversation while they were helping me troubleshoot the credit card problem.
    Have hope, even if they can't help you, one day it could spontaneously reactivate. I've had that happen too lol.

    Just reply back to this after you hear back from support, or if you end up crumbling in despair. It's nice to tidy up the narrative for posterity.

    Just updating here, I haven't given up yet but there is little hope that their department gives two
    [Mod Removed - Profanity] about this problem. I've updated and opened I don't how many tickets. I don't believe they read a thing that people send to them and despite me sending my phone number and requesting a call to resolve
    it 4 times in the most recent ticket I still have yet to receive a phone call from these Merry Band of
    [Mod Removed – Profanity]! I tried contacting Xbox to change my email account that is associated and they say they cannot do that so that's great. Just another way Microsoft continues to convince me that Apple is the way to go.
    I have to say I've never not been able to reach someone at Apple when I had a question or concern. These[Mod Removed – Profanity]on the other hand, hide behind a computer keyboard and provide no assistance. [Mod
