I still think this is more down to the xbox one being rushed Sony announced the PlayStation 4 back in February last year and i think it totally threw Microsoft i dont think they expected it and hence it made Microsoft have to get the xbox one out i certainly
think the one was in development but the PlayStation 4 was well well forward.

So they reacted not having time to think about strategy or anything else it was more get it out there we need to be seen we are competing and we cannot let Sony get the jump on us. So spring forward to 2014 and the PlayStation 4 is the hot console and the
one is playing catch up hence this 60fps 1080p issue is going to effect sales i no doubt but the game has begun and the next firmware update is crucial if it boosts the one to a level it needs to be at then the consumers will return if it dont then there
will need to be some huge work done in Seattle

Yep that was to be expected.

The "Other" console still done very well there though, especially in November, I bet Microsoft would give a kidney to do aswell in Japan as Sony have done in America.

It's still early days but whoever is ahead now or in 6 months time, I believe both have done well regardless.

I dont care for all this mines better than yours!

Its simple buy both or dont

If you dont buy both buy the one you want and enjoy it.

This years f1 cars are on 1.6 ltr and are a lot faster than some 3ltr v12 cars!

Its not all about pure power its how you use it

Microsoft know what there doing and lets face it online wise the 360 and one are far better than most. I was bought a PlayStation 4 for my 40th Birthday yes old gamer i know. And i saved for a xbox one why because i don't get satisfaction from the PlayStation
    brand.

And when i do play PlayStation i keep wanting on it what is on the xbox which is a great community and great games and online play. My friends are the same with all of them saying you cannot beat xbox and yes this true.

And i have faith that they will get the xbox one spot on given time. The reason the PlayStation 4 is selling is because its basically a beefed up 360 when you think about and it offers what made the 360 so brilliant ie indie games music in games party chat
yes its the norm these days but its still what made the 360 so good.

Microsoft have stretched the boundaries again and in time the rest will be copying so all this 40fps 1080p is rubbish lets just wait and see what happens

At the end of the day for me it's all about the games, whether it be something like Ryse: Son of Rome with ( in my opinion ) excellent gameplay/story with visuals to match.

Then I've had just as much fun on some games like Peggle 2, Resogun, Angry Birds etc, maybe not the best looking games ever but I've never needed to have eye watering visuals to make a game fun.

Variety is the spice of life Microsoft Reportedly Relaxing Xbox One Kinect Requirements, Giving GPU Power A Boost :)

If developers do choose to use the 10% reserved for Kinect for their game, does that mean Kinect functions will be disabled system wide for the duration of that game?

@voteDC I dont think it will im of the understanding that it is reserved power and thats all it is meaning that it should not stop the kinect features as its power just in case developers need it.

@Loftywho you mention Resogun dont you find though that the Arcade/indie games are better presented on xbox ? also check out Max curse of brotherhood on the one if you haven't already awesome arcade game

Lofty is well aware Flukey. Hes been around since the dinosaurs afterall! (Sorry mate, couldn't resist)

I think the main point is that its about how a game plays.

Fanboys rant about numbers and frames per second but if the game stinks, whats the point?

I stuck with the xbox brand as I have made some amazing friends over Live (one was even my best man at my wedding), and thats where they all are. The exclusives are my sort of games and I like talking to my Xbox....(Sad I know but I live in a house full
    of girls!)

If disabling the Kinect functions makes a game look prettier, fine. Personally, I like it but thats MY opinion.

Apart from when my two year old starts shouting "Xbox Turn Off". Little bugger.

    From what I gather, no.

As far as I'm aware, kinect's camera functions use a fair chunk of that reserve. That portion could technically be used whilst still retaining voice functions if needed by the game.

@ Flukey ... To be honest mate I've played some great games ( Arcade or not ) on both Xbox/Playstation, to be honest I don't get quite what you mean by "Better Presented" , I just take each game as it comes, but for me Resogun is one stunning title.

@ Fear ... I was around before the dinosaurs mate lol

Your right though, the fanboys constantly throw numbers about in the never ending war of words but say if a game was released next week they really really wanted but it was announced it was running lower than 1080p/60fps ( on their chosen platform ) would they
still buy it? the majority would and why not, does it have to be 1080/60fps to have better gameplay than titles that run at less?
