Microsoft refunded my money for my xbox series x

So i pre-ordered a xbox series x back in sept i made sure i was on at the right time and successfuly ordered a xbox series x. The money was withdrawn and the device was shipped. Yesterday we were supposed to receive it and Fedex did mark the package as delivered.
The problem is no one ever delivered it to our house. We waited and waited and still no xbox. We started a claim to figure out what happened with MICROSOFT and fedex. Today i received an email that the money has been refunded. Thats great and all but we wanted
an xbox series x. So now we are left without knowing what happened and basically a good luck finding one. Anytime soon. All the time and effort i put into getting this and we dont even get an apology we will get you one as soon as we can.

This is unacceptable in my eyes. But i also really have no other recorse but to post on here.

Consider being lucky, power issues arising out the wazoo, already returned mine back to the store, wouldn't stay on more then 2 sec.

it outrages that sony offer full refund and microsoft doesnt!

i asked for my money back casue of the horrible preformence on my Xbox One X - and it was declined !

I have had my refund request denied twice without any other options to remedy my issue. I purchased Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War digital standard edition before I got my new console, I now need the version optimized for Series X otherwise my game does
not perform properly. If I could upgrade to the Series X version I would but it is not possible in the Microsoft store to pay the additional $10 to upgrade, it wants me to spend $69.99 when I have already spent $59.99 on the game. I don’t understand why I
can’t be issued a refund “past the allotted time frame” when I am going to turn around and reinvest that refunded money for the correct version of the game for my new Series X console.

Please help.

My son has purchased £30 worth of shark cards for gta 5. He has not recieved them yet. However when I checked my emails it states on the invoice that it was for xbox one x/s. He only has an xbox one. Am I to belive he has now lost this money as bought the wrong ones?

He uses my xbox x/s at the weekends and it hasn't shown up on that either.

It wouldnt show up on the xbox series x/s unless you specifically have the series x/s version of the game as far as i am aware.

You can play the Xbox one version on your Series S/X console as well. They’re backwards compatible

If you don’t have an Xbox One console my recommendation would be as you said, refund and purchase the Series X/S edition
In that way you can cross play with PC and PS5 players (and of course, play with people that uses the X/S edition)
