Microsoft prompting me to set up a new profile when logging back in to Minecraft on...

For those of you who encountered the same situation (at least with the logging into Minecraft part i cannot attest to the minecraft.net part) the solution is very simple, When you are on the log in password screen, click the go back to see the profiles. Then you need to "create a new profile" under the Microsoft account. The reason it seemingly bugs out and deleted your information is that the system still interprets it as a Mojang account, therefore and you need an entirely separate "Microsoft variant." Simply input the new Microsoft information as prompted and you should be all set!

Just open Minecraft and then go to the Settings option. After that, press on the Profile tab from multiple Settings options. You will now see a Sign Out of your Microsoft account on the right-hand side; simply tap on this option to log out of your account.

Now, wait for some time, and then try to log in to your account on Minecraft. Enter the right login credentials and sign in back to your account. When you successfully log in, you will be prompted with Save to Microsoft Account and Leave on Device options. You need to click on the Save to Microsoft Account and then press the Continue button on the next prompt. Now, press Continue and then enter your Microsoft account username and password when prompted with Are you trying to sign in to Minecraft PE? You can try reconnecting to external servers and hopefully, the problem should be fixed!

When you launch Minecraft Dungeons for the first time, you are prompted to log in to a Microsoft Account. This can also be done from the game's settings menu, by selecting "Configure Online Play"

Sorry to hear of your frustration! To clarify, when you initially set up your phone, it should have prompted you to accept the Terms then. Did it not? Or did you choose not to accept them?



Also, when logging into Xbox.com, did you receive a prompt to accept them? Nothing came up? Are you using the same Microsoft Account profile at this website that you used to set up your phone?
