Microsoft Promotional E-mail Expiry Notification

I recently received an email stating:

We just wanted to let you know that some of the promotional balance in your Microsoft account will be expiring soon.

Expiring Account Balance:

$23.10 AUD

Expiration Date:

Monday, 1 June 2015

You can use your promotional balance before it expires to buy apps, games, music, and more at any of the following stores:

I tried some of the links included in the email to use up my account balance (note I no longer own an Xbox) and try as I might, I could not actually use my account balance. The shopping cart checkout insisted I supply CC information and would not show
me the 'account balance'.

Though the chat assistant was friendly, in the end he wasn't helpful either.

Please Microsoft, if you won't let me use the remaining balance in your stores at least let me donate it to some charity.

still havent recieved promotional offer!

took advantage of the promotional offer in january and STILL havent got my microsoft points! no e-mail, no meesage nothing"!

Hey mate, I don't believe you can use added currency to purchase things through the website, only a CC or debit card.

G'dday, yup, certainly looks that way. I guess i'll just have to forfeit the balance. It's a shame I cannot even transfer the balance to a charity.

You should receive an e-mail reply like I did within 2-3 business days. See how that works out for you.

You'll want to read these two support pages. The first shows you how to promote your account to Adult status and the second shows you how to change the Microsoft Account (i.e. e-mail) tied to your gamertag. This is different than a notification e-mail.

Yes ma'am I have checked all my spam, junk and trash folders. I have a iPhone so all e-mail that i received i get a notification on and never received any promotion code
