Microsoft points

Microsoft points, these "transferred points" expire in June. It's not than I can't afford the loss, but why should the corporate (fill in your own swear words here) entity, be allowed to do that to "points purchased in good faith". Purchased a one due to
LOYALTY, No more, hello SONY.

Pack = £2.49 UK, (440 Microsoft Points) and to buy 2000 Microsoft Points (from Microsoft) = £17.00

What is wrong with my maths?


0.85p per point
440 x 0.85 = £3.74 (I seem to be overpaying for everything I buy compared to what is quoted!!!!!)

 

Those points are the ones that transferred from microsoft points 18 months to 2 years ago.

Its probably about time you spent them anyway.

No major company cares about your "loyalty", sony certainly wouldn`t care either.

 

Find something you like and spend those points.

 

You have had plenty of time to spend those points. You're also kidding yourself if you think Sony cares more about loyalty. No company does. They only care about making money.

 

So because you've had 2 years to spend points and they will expire soon, you will be switching to a PlayStation? That makes no sense, but hey best of luck in your future gaming endeavors.

 

That's a long time to keep money tied up. Surely something in two years has caught your eye. It's unfortunate that you feel the need to "switch". It's not like you could spend that money anywhere else so leaving it tied up for so long and then complaining
that they won't let you leave the money tied up longer seems pretty silly. I hope someone posted this without your knowledge as a joke. There are certainly valid complaints against any company that drives consumers from one product to another but is there
something I'm missing here? What was the benefit of not ever using the points you paid for and just keeping them on the account? Have you not bought anything in two years?

 

The point I'm trying to make is, two years ten years, don't care it is my money. Why should I be compelled to spend it just because, it has been decided so. The points were long ago to into an equivalent cash value, why cannot this just stay as a balance.
Seems just an excuse for a cash grab, just because they gave two years notice, does not make it ethical.
