Microsoft Points V2

What is it about?

Some years ago I have charged my games for windows live account with some money (or Microsoft Points), since I used to buy some PC games there. The "service" has been deactivated and my money has be transferred to here ... xbox live. I have now a balance
here and it is going to be gone on the first of June. I would love to use the money to buy something, but the stores don't let me because of regional problems.

What's the problem exactly?

I have money in my account and I can't use it, since I'm currently in China and that's not going to change in the next few months. Changing the region to China doesn't help, since here the Music and Video services aren't available and I don't own any kind
of xbox. Since I can change my region once every 3 months, I rather don't do that, if I'm not sure that it helps. I was using the money to buy PC games. Now I'm willing to spend the balance on movies, but ... A) even using a VPN the store tells me that I'm
not in the region, where my account is registered in and therefore I can't buy anything ... and B) I would only be able to download the movies in German. Which sucks, since I would like it to be the original English language so that I could watch them with
my girlfriend.

Why didn't you use up the money earlier?

I should have used it under games for windowslive, but at that time they didn't have anything good to buy so I didn't. Then they transferred the money to the xbox live account and I don't even have ANY xbox. Microsoft seems to just assume that I do, but
of course I don't spend any money on games or services that are useless to me. And now the money will just disappear and I don't know what to do.

Why do you write this here in the forum?

Because there seems to be no place else, where I could present my issue. The international chat support sends me from one one place to the next to tell them about my problem. No one wants to be responsible or has any solution or advice. Nobody cares. The
Swiss chat support seems to be offline/inactive. I won't spend money and call support. There are no forums that really fit my problem.

So what do you want then?

In the best case my money back. But I'm a realist and I have very little hope in this happening. As an alternative I would already be happy, if I could spend my money to buy something useful to me. Hell, I might even be convinced buying the movies in German,
even though I have no idea, why I can't get them in the original English language. I would even accept buying some wireless microsoft mouse, but sadly my balance isn't even connected to the microsoft store. So please ... if anyone could tell me how to spend
my money or where to talk to someone responsible, please let me know.

Conclusion:

This is rather [Mod Removed], isn't it? Microsoft just cancels services, shifts my money to places, where I can't buy anything, has brain dead regional regulations that keep me from buying anything and the support system is in this case
useless. And if my assumptions are correct, I just get trolled here in the forum.

Kinect 2 availability

Hello,

I am working on a R&D project involving the Kinect V2 (for Xbox One but with the adapter), and I was told by an employee from BestBuy Canada that the Kinect v2 (even the version for Xbox) was discontinued.

Is it true? I see I can still buy it from the Microsoft Store, but is it still produced ? And if so, do you know since when there will be support/production for the Kinect v2.

3 points for what? I may put an extra attachment on my primary, if possible - but I can't really think of anything else. Maybe keep a secondary pistol also with a silencer. Is that 3 points?

 

UPDATE:

I was finally able to connect to the Swiss Chat support and to communicate my predicament. The lady did forward my case to some other place and I'm going to be contacted by e-mail. Let's see, if a solution can be found.

The support lady was nice enough and if there is in fact going to be a solution, I'm forced to change parts of my previous posting. Let's see...
