    Microsoft points conversion on the wrong account

    Hey

    I got an email recently telling me that my microsoft points had been converted to real money to be used. Unfortunately, the conversion was made on the wrong account and the real money went onto my permabanned account; pyro809. Rather than my actual account;
    (this account).

    The email told me that there is £6.12 on my permabanned account that had been converted from ms points.

    Permabanned account gamertag: pyro809

    Actual account I use gamertag:

    :)

    MyVIP Gems to Microsoft Rewards Points

    So with the new transition between Xbox Live Rewards and Microsoft Points and the conversion of "Any remaining MyVIP Gems left in your account after that day will be converted to Microsoft Rewards points once the transition is complete", what is the conversion
    rate? 1:1? If so, what is the logic behind this transition because the main way I go about getting Gems is spending money, and a single USD is worth about 20 Gems (Xbox One X Conversion factor). In Microsoft Points, a single USD is worth about 967 points ($3
    Xbox Gift Card Conversion) or 910 points ($100 Windows Gift Card Conversion). I have some other reasons for not liking Microsoft Points but regardless, I want to know what the conversion between Gems and Points will be because there is no logic in waiting
    for them to convert if it is a 1:1 ratio. My only question is what this conversion will be, and to to express my opinion on a change that I cannot see any benefits from. Thanks

    Microsoft points conversion on the wrong account

    If the Points were on the now-banned account, that is where the conversion would have happened and where the money would have been deposited. This money cannot be transferred between accounts (and never could be, even as Points), hence why the converted
    Points would have stayed on the other account and would not have been converted then transferred.
