    Microsoft Points Cards


    I try to buy ay Card today and the sales person told me that the card as been recalled and couldn't sell it to me.Did Microsoft recalled all the cards cause I know that they switch to currency instead of points,but aren't the cards go till 2015?

    Microsoft Points cards work the exact same way as Xbox Live Gift Cards. A 1400 Points card bought for $20 will put $20 in your Microsoft Account for example.

    If you entered the code either on xbox.com or on your console (press the guide button scroll to left and select Redeem Code) and did not get an error message then the card should have worked.

    A good way to see if the points have been added. Scroll to the top of this page and you will see your gamer picture on the top left. To the right of that is some account information including how many MS Points you currently have (right underneath the
    gamerscore).

    Any existing cards you own will be usable for a while yet, they will however have stopped the shops from selling any more.

    You should still be able to use the points cards. When you redeem a Microsoft points code it should automatically convert the points into whatever dollar currency for you.

    will be available for purchase in retail stores and through online retailers starting in late 2013. Availability of Microsoft Points cards varies by region.

    Microsoft points were discontinued in 2013. So there's no guarantee the card will work. The only way to know is by trying it.

    Hi,

    If you have signed in on a console that has the beta, you are in 'beta limbo' and can only make purchases on a console with the beta as your account has been converted to currency.

    Unfortunately you will have the same issue with the website.
