    Hi Microsoft

    I just bought 35 dollars worth of xbox points after saving up for several weeks so I could get xbox live. Only now do i find out that you can buy literally everything you have to sell except Xbox Live. Isn't that just great. You have no solid reason as to
    why i cant buy Xbox Live, I just cant. Oh look i can buy Windows 10, but not Xbox Live. I can buy games, but not Xbox Live. And the icing on the cake, I still need a credit card. The whole idea of the gift card was because i do not have a credit card. Maybe
    micrsoft, instead of stealing people's money and throwing in the trash, you should focus on letting people use their money. This is the kind of rubbish that made people switch to Playstation. Thanks for taking my money Microsoft.

    Microsoft Points and Xbox Live

    Hi there,

    Points have never been a payment option for Live. Even during the transition from points to currency, it's noted in the FAQ Currency cards cannot be used for Live. It's also why there specific cards (1, 3, 6, 12-month) just for Live.

    You can always go to Xbox Ideas, powered by UserVoice to put in a request that currency become a payment option. That's the best place to voice a suggestion/opinion so the right people will see it.

    Playstation does the same thing. They have separate cards for currency and others for membership. Psn currency cards also cannot be used to get membership. So same thing on that side

    Hello,

    Microsoft Points cannot be used to purchase an Xbox LIVE Gold Membership. Microsoft Points can only be used to for purchasing content such as games, movies, and t.v shows on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

    Xbox LIVE Rewards actually gives Reward Points, not Microsoft Points. They function the same save that they do expire.

    Be signed into the website, click on my account at the top of the apge and on the bottom right of the my account page, click Change Xbox Region. Go through with it. I want to let you know that once you do this, you will not be able to change back for 3 months.

    Where did you buy the code, and where do you live? It'd be nice to know these things to give you a little more help BEFORE you change the region (changing the region could keep you from downloading anything in your region for the next three months, you wont
    like that.)
