Microsoft, please fix the Games for Windows Marketplace - Games for Windows LIVE (GFWL)

As anyone dealing with the Games for Windows Marketplace (GFWM) knows, it is completely broken and needs to be fixed internally by Microsoft. This won't happen without enough public demand and a potent outcry. Everyone and anyone who wants to access their
past purchases from the GFWM, please post here that you want this problem to be resolved. Also contact Xbox Support by chat or by phone and let them know about this issue. Describe the issue in detail and ensure you voice your frustration that the content
you paid for and was promised to remain available is now inaccessible. This problem happened several times in the past and only with enough involvement by the community was it addressed and fixed. Inform everyone you know who is interested
in the GFWM or GFWL about this thread, link them here and get them involved. We cannot let this continue anymore.

"Although you will not be able to purchase new games, you can continue to enjoy previously purchased content by downloading it through the Games for Windows Live client software as usual."

We were promised that our past purchases will remain available for download from the Client. There has never been an official statement from Microsoft declaring that all functionality of the GFWM will be shut down and that we will
permanently lose access to all of our past purchases on that platform. Therefore, it is only reasonable to demand that access to our past purchases and keys remains available for download.

For those who don't know, upon launching the Marketplace Client, signing in and waiting a minute, it displays this error: "There was an error retrieving your purchase history. Please sign out and try again later." What that means is that all purchases made
through the GFWM cannot be listed and cannot be downloaded. Also, the Product Keys for purchased Games for Windows LIVE (GFWL) games cannot be viewed. Many people spent considerable some considerable amounts of money on that platform and now they are effectively
being ripped off. I don't need to explicitly mention this, as I'm sure the responsible teams at Microsoft are aware, but I will anyway, just to prove I know what this is all about. The website "services.gamesforwindows.com" and its resources need to be brought
back up to restore functionality to the GFWM.

I, as well as others, tried reaching out to Xbox Support on Twitter about this issue multiple times. and all we got was complete ignorance. No official reply whatsoever, no acknowledgment, no nothing. I lost a lot of faith in Xbox Support on Twitter due
to this. Please do not treat me and others who voice this issue here with the same disrespect. We might be a small minority who wants continued access to their GFWM purchases, but we are your customers too, Microsoft. We only ask that you keep your
promise to maintain access to past purchases in the GFWM Client.
We are looking for an official reply here, an official reply of acknowledgment and official assurance that this matter will be looked into and of course, truly fixed. I am hoping that here this problem will get the attention and focus it deserves.

Sorry about that but with Windows 10 its not working anymore...

The only way i found to get it work its to make a virtual machine with vista or 7 ( check on internet who to set a virtual machine on your computer ) .

Although I would love to believe what you're saying, I just cannot. According to my research, as long as the website "services.gamesforwindows.com" is down, there is no way the Games for Windows Marketplace can function correctly, as in retrieve users' information,
purchase history, license files, product keys, allow content download, etc. no matter what a user tries to do. That website and its resources are critical to the GFWM's functionality. This is strictly a backend problem on Microsoft's end and only their engineers
can fix this.

Thanks for taking the time to post here on the Xbox forums about this issue.
Games for Windows Live (GFWL) was phased out a few years ago and if using a Windows 10 device, you may now use the Xbox app to connect. This can be frustrating when attempting to get your older games to work properly; however, you won't be able to reach
the folks you wish to here on the forums to possibly make a change to this or voice your ideas in a constuctive manner as the developers for the OS for Windows do not read or interact on the forums.

If you'd like to contribute some ideas on how to make improvements to or about other ideas for the community, you may do so at the Xbox Idea Hub which is on Reddit.

That is incorrect, a misconception, a rumor which did not became reality. Games for Windows LIVE as a service is still fully functional, you can sign in, use Product Keys, view your friends, send messages, play online, etc. but that is not the focus of this
concern. The focus is the Games for Windows Marketplace, a separate entity from GFWL, but tied to it, certainly. The only aspect of the Marketplace that was ever officially announced to be discontinued was the ability to purchase new content from the Marketplace.
