    Microsoft-Password with every start

    Dear Microsoft-/XBOX-Support-Team and Community,

Since the last summer (beginning with the Anniversary-Update, I guess) I've got a problem with my Xbox One Console. Everytime I activate it, I have to enter my MS-Password to log in my Xbox Live Account
although I set the options for not having to do this. Without loggin in - you know this - nothing works, not even YouTube etc. This may be not a big problem, but my MS-Password is quite long and complex (because my @outlook-mail-adress
is my main-e-mail-adress, so I need a strong password here) and entering with the controller is just annoying.

In the past I already tried to reset all my Log-In-Options and also deleted and resetted my whole Xbox-Live-Profile from the device. All those actions work indeed but just for a few days (maybe weeks). Then the problem returns. When I tried it the last time,
the console starts with my profile logged in but after a few seconds the notification appears: "You were logged out." Sometimes it reloggs within the next seconds automatically, but in no more than 10% of the trials.

I already made contact with the german Xbox-Support-Center, where the advice was given, to just resend my console to Microsoft. This is not so easy for me, because the responsible UPS-office is far away and I don't really think that it's a Hardware-Problem,
so all MS could do anyway is sending a new console.

    Now I have two questions:

    1. Does anyone of you know this problem and maybe has a solution?

    2. If there is no solution, maybe there is an option to log in without
using my full MS-password (maybe PIN or something like Windows Hello by the Kinekt-System)?

    Thanks for your help!

    :)

How to password protect your Xbox LIVE profile

    Xbox LIVE password overview

It is possible to download your Xbox LIVE profile to several different consoles. You may need to do this if you have more than one Xbox 360 console, or you want to play games at a friend's house. In such a situation, you may want to password protect your Xbox LIVE account so that no one else can sign in using your profile.

Set the console to remember your password

Once you have downloaded your Xbox LIVE profile to a console, you will be asked if you want the console to remember your password. The Remember Password option is usually off by default. This means that you will be asked for your Microsoft account password every time you sign into Xbox LIVE.

If you don't want to be asked for your Microsoft account password every time you sign into Xbox LIVE, select the Remember Password option.

Change the password protection on your profile

You are required to set the Remember Password option after you download your Xbox LIVE profile. However, you can change the password protection on your Xbox LIVE profile any time.

If you don't need a password to sign in:

Sign into your Xbox LIVE profile. After you have entered your Microsoft account password, select the Remember Password option.

If you choose the Remember Password option, you will not be asked for your Microsoft account password the next time you sign into your Xbox LIVE profile.

If you need a password to sign in:

You can restrict access to your Xbox LIVE profile on any console using your Microsoft account password.

    Steps to follow

    1) Sign in using your Xbox LIVE gamertag.

    2) Under Settings, select Account and then Account Security

    3) Choose the option for Password at Sign In.

    4) Select Require Password Here

You will be asked for your Microsoft account password the next time you sign into your Xbox LIVE profile.

How to password protect your Xbox LIVE profile remotely

If you downloaded your Xbox LIVE profile to another console and it is not password protected, or someone has compromised your password, you can change the password from a remote location so that no one else can access your profile.

    Change your Microsoft account

    1) Sign into accounts.live.com using your Microsoft account.

    2) Go to Account Information and, next to Password, click Change.

You can also use your console to change your Microsoft account password.

Note: If the Xbox LIVE profile you downloaded does not require a password to sign in (You selected the Remember Password option), you will not be able to restrict someone from signing into your Xbox profile even if you change your Microsoft account password.

You can remove your Microsoft account password so that other people cannot access your Xbox profile on other consoles. This will ensure that a password is required before signing into your Xbox profile.

Remotely set a profile password from a computer:

    1) Sign into your Xbox LIVE account.

    2) Under Settings, select Account, and then Account Security

    3) Choose the option for Password at Sign In.

    4) Select On All Other Consoles.

Once you have done this, a password will be required to sign into your Xbox LIVE profile on all other consoles.

Xbox One Summer 2016 update preview

I changed my Microsoft Account password and there was no way to type in the new one on my Xbox. It just kept showing a loading spinner every time I tried to log in, rather than pulling up a screen for me to type in the new password. It was annoying as shit.

Content Restricted All of a Sudden

The problem is constant. Every time I start a game or app over the age rating of 14 it asks for my Microsoft account password. The problem seems to have worsened too as I am no longer able to purchase things from the store.

Just to close out, on my specific problem, I had already done most of Fraizzys suggestions above with no luck. However, when I did the following it worked a treat :)

    Copied from Fraizzys post above:

Login to xbox.com .... go to "security info" ..... click on "create a new app password". There appears your new app password. Note it down somewhere!

Now you can start your Xbox 360 and redownload your profile. It's going to ask for your microsoft account email address and your password. Use your usual email address and type in your app password instead of your usual password. Accept that it can save
the password, so you don't need to type in your password every time you start your Xbox.

STOP ASKING FOR MORE SECURITY INFORMATION!!!!

Helps you but not reset your password

if you want to reset your password you need to set up an sms

or rhe normal password reset email

that is a normal password reset proccess

every single server has that if you have issues with yoir password then start using stronger passwords

    NoAcCcessP3dd

should be the type of password you should be using

How to recover my Xbox Live profile?

I've tried all the passwords I have used during that time, but every instance just shows an invalid password and directs me to the recover or reset password. I'm not exactly sure how a Microsoft Account works, but were all Xbox LIVE accounts automatically
    transferred to Microsoft Accounts?

Right password is counted as wrong.

Hey there, just start the password recovery procedure. It won't harm changing the password. :)
