Microsoft password reset text message

Hi guys,

i recently reset my xbox and had to add card details to purchase GTA on the marketplace store, however it asked me to sign in to my microsoft account but i had forgotten the password, i clicked reset password and for them to send a code to my mobile number,
what worries me is that it was a normal everyday mobile number that sent me the code (the code worked) i was worried so tried to call the number (as it usually is MSFT that texts) and the call rang out until it said welcome to the EE voicemail, why would microsoft
be with EE? And why would the number that sent me the code be phone able? Should i be worried?

i cant accept the new 'terms of use' for my sons xbox live account as i no longer have acess to the parental email account

Even though the parental email address used may be broken or inaccessible, there's still a Microsoft Account (what was formerly known as the Windows Live ID) for it. You can reset its password by going to
Reset your password and following the instructions there, to reset the password by validating with the secret answer to the security question, sending a text message to
their cellophone, or by clicking on I CAN'T USE ANY OF THESE OPTIONS to complete a questionnaire.

I have a problem with xbox live

You might want to focus on getting into the old email first. Or there's always the Customer Support option on password reset. It'll ask for details about the account registered in Microsofts database. They can get back to you about a password reset and are,
in fact, the only people who can reset your account without doing an email reset/security question/text reset.

There is probably nothing to worry about however as you are concerned I would suggest you just log into your account and change your password again.

I think there is nothing to worry about, only microsoft has the ability to send verification codes to individuals need to to verify that it's them who is logging in.

Google the number.

I did this, it sent a recovery email to one of my other emails, I reset my password, but I still get the blocked message on the email that is blocked and that I need a text message

I also still get the error message in game.

I'm sorry that the above steps did not work to resolve the issue. If you can't sign in to your Xbox account, you can try resetting your Microsoft account password, since Xbox uses a Microsoft account to sign in.

Follow these steps to reset your Microsoft account password:

Go to the Microsoft sign-in page

Click "Sign In" in the upper right corner of the page.

On the login page, click "Can't access your account?" below the password field.
