microsoft password change and/or xbox upgrade

I have my work email and personal email tied to the same microsoft account. My business email seems to hold all my previous xbox games, etx. I'd rather it be linked to my personal email account, but not sure how to do this without losing previous games, features, etc. Does this question make sense? On top of that, when I try to reset my password, I'm not receiving verification codes. Can anyone help?

In order to change your Xbox account/Xbox Gamebar password, you change your Microsoft Account password. Your Microsoft Password is tied to both of those items.

Keep in mind that if you're trying to change the age on the Microsoft account so you can upgrade an Xbox account to adult, it will not work. Changing the age on the Microsoft account does not also change the age of an Xbox account. That cannot be changed.

If your Microsoft Account's password is changed, no matter how many emails or what email you've used to log in, it will change the password for Xbox, Office, and Skype account passwords. The Microsoft Account is a type of universal login for all Microsoft
services.
