Microsoft not listening

Do you guys feel that Microsoft isn't really listening to its customers? Don't get me wrong I love my xbox one and all the features it brings, but there are a lot of missing features that people have addressed to Microsoft and it's been over a year without
any major update that's added any features such as...

No background music player so you can play music without having the app taking half of your screen is a perfect example of this.

Also the fact that you can't send voice messages yet is still a major issue as well.

What are your thoughts everyone?

^^ Voicing our opinion on this matter will not change anything because Microsoft is not listening to us, they are listening to "hardcore gamers" fanboys (read excerpt in op's post), who could care less about Xbox or us who still believe in Microsoft and
their promises.

 

As I dont play music wile gaming and am ambivalent about voice messaging I'm happy with the updates so far. I think they are listening and evolving the console nicely. If those items arrive fine, if not I won't be losing sleep.

 

I think MS is listening to it's customers. Look back to when the X1 was first released and how far it has come via updates. The major issues have been resolved IMO, but there is work that needs to be done. I think the customer base has to release that some
things take time to resolve, patience is a virtue. Your "major" issues may not be on MS 's fix it now list.

 

I'd be willing to bet we'll have those features eventually. I think they are listening to us a lot more than they did with the 360.

I think Microsoft have listened to it's customers, I mean we have seen a steady stream of updates since launch that have improved/added things. Unfortunately though it can't be all done at once, it takes time.

Being able to send voice messages would be a good thing, for me though it's not a major issue as I rarely send messages online. If I want to take to someone, ask them something etc I just wait until their online and invite them into a party lol

Background Music is not something I'm waiting for as I don't listen to music whilst playing.

 

I don't listen to music. If I wanted to I would just turn on my radio. As far as messages go....I can live without them. I would not mind an option to send and receive them with only friends. The random ones you get from trolls after playing a game is what

Personally,even if i'm in preview program (and happy to be),most of news features that we have got are nice,but weren't necessary for me (because of the way i use my Xbox one).

As it has been said,Microsoft works to improve the system.(mostly every months since launch).

 

Once windows 10 drops.... all your concerns will be answered... voice messaging through the XB W10 PC app, cross platform has already been announced. As for background music... as with most... I would prefer my pc or mt tablet playing the music while I
game.. if i listen to anything at all

 

I noticed that. Launched missing features the 360 had and added features not really wanted. I was really hyped about an everything box. But now I find I just want it to be simple. Mainly because the more it does the worse it's been running. After
the last few updates, It's been crashing a lot. Maybe it's just the apps need updating and not a system issue. idk. If it explodes, I have a Sega Genesis in the closet.

I think they definitely do listen, they're just not very reactive.

 

I don't even listen to music when driving , I like to hear what is happening around me .

I often wonder if kids driving could even hear a horn, or a mother shouting " Stop " . To her child running into the road.

But , each to their own I suppose , I hope it works out 4 u.

 

Usually I don't play music while I'm gaming but my laptop is next to me so on the rare occasion that I want to I'd use that.

As for voice messages. I never listened to mine on 360 but I know it's a bit of a hit or miss with people. It's popular in the feedback forums and they have been listening to those given the new features we've seen since that site launched.

 

I feel that they actually are listening. Compare to what Xbox 1 was like when it first Launched compared to what it is like now.

When I first posted on the official feedback site, my post got over 92 votes. In it at the time, I wanted the UI to show WHEN offline friends were last online. If a friend was offline, the UI cold-heartedly just had the words "OFFLINE".

According to the official feedback site, it does take time to implement our ideas. They can't individually always please us/you/me. But I'm sure as one of the worlds most reputable and biggest companies, they at least try.

I also want voice messaging to. In fact a lot on Xbox Live want it back too. Generation X people may not mind sending txts, but were talking a next gen console here. There has also been over 6.5k votes for it.
