    Microsoft not honoring warranty


    I have already posted on this topic but the previous post that I made Microsoft has locked so that no-one can reply to it.

    I have sent in my fault xbox one x to repair services 3 times and I still have a junk xbox that won't run a game. If I try to start a game it freezes and then turns off my xbox. I have a warranty that they will not honor. I have even left notes in the package
    that I sent to them saying do not just reset and return, I have already factory reset and reinstalled it does not work!!! I cannot get any help from this company at all. I want my $500 back or at least for them to send me a WORKING xbox. YOU HAVE A WARRANTY
    FOR A REASON! HONOR YOUR WARRANTY!!

    Sent controller in for replacement.

    Microsoft keeps sending me broken controllers.

    Latest controller is broken.

    Microsoft won't replace because it's past the warranty.

    Even though I never received a working controller.

    Microsoft is not honoring warranty.

    Sent broken controllers instead of working ones until warranty expired.

    Hope that's short enough, lol. I should have made a summary of the issue in the beginning. My bad. Was frustrated and wanted to detail everything so people know exactly where I'm coming from.

    Microsoft not honoring Complete Care extended warranty? Anyone else had this issue?

    I guess that is possible.

    I personally think the console was crushed, then at the factory the sticker was folded under either after the tech opened the console or snapped it back together after the damage had occurred.

    Either way, Microsoft isn't honoring the warranty, and even Global Escalations is not handling the issue properly. In addition, FedEx will not accept claims from anyone but Microsoft, per the shipping contract between the two companies.

    You've shipped your console to them three times? You're getting the same one back?

    Is it possible that when they test it at their location it works without issue? If so, could it be something else - power supply, location of the console, etc.?

    The RRoD fixes only involve messing with clamps on the motherboard, not anything that can get you banned. Microsoft won't honor the warranty any more, but you may prolong the life of your xbox.

    Yes. I showed them the Amazon receipt.

    They said it was a third party seller and will not honor the warranty from the date of purchase. I pointed out that (a) it was purchased on amazon, (b) the Amazon receipt specifically says the product was "NEW" and (c) there was no disclaimer anywhere on
    the receipt or the purchase listing saying that the warranty will be honored for less than one year from time of purchase.

    No supervisor is available. They would not give me a name or number or schedule anotehr time to call. They would only note my request in the file. I was pleasantly surprised that I actually received a call. And then terribly disappointed that there is
    no ability to call back.

    I spent a lot of money on something that does not work and seem to have no recourse.

    Hey there, the instant i saw the above....yeah i think unfortunately you might be on the hook. Even though it was listed as NEW on amazon, if it was a third party seller, many times warranties arent going to be honored. Now if it was from Amazon itself,
    i think you would be ok. Its possible this third party seller had the system for a while, meaning the clock was running on the warranty and by the time you got it....wish i coild help you more but i think thats whats going on here
