Microsoft not allowed to run Destiny adverts

What I don't get is, if you're not into Halo that much what makes people think this will be any different? Sorry, Destiny looks nothing more than a shinier version of Halo.

Adverts are not allowed..... Anyone can purchase the same thing at anytime anyplace they desire....

reminds me of when the PS3 launch, and MS did the marketing with how you could buy a 360 and a stack of beer for the same amount as a PS3, or the party boat shtick, i've always enjoyed it when companies take a "tongue in cheek" approach to marketing.

 

Yea, I probably don't play 99% of the FPS games that come out nowadays as I try to avoid them altogether. I guess I decided to pre-order Destiny due to all of my friends picking it up. I figured it would be a good excuse to game with some of them again.

 

i played the beta for half an hour not interested at all cancelled my pre order and got metro instead

I have pre ordered as the people I game with will be lost if I'm not available to play with on this game as I prevent anyone coming bottom on the leader board that's my territory not proud of it but just honest and enjoy the uncompetitive nature of our
game meets

I haven't pre-ordered it yet but this game will be the tipping point for me towards a 'nextgen' console - just not sure which to get yet. There seem to be enough games out finally to warrant a purchase. I'm rather anxious to play GolfClubGame as well as
Destiny.

For me Destiny seems good because I really enjoyed the Halo series, I like shooting/looting things and upgrading (borderlands) and I haven't played a FPS in a long time now. Lately been spending a ton of time in World of Tanks and I think I'm ready for
a change again. While I don't think Destiny is ground breaking by any means I think it will be fun... worth at least $70.00

 

Having played the Beta I am not on a Titanfall level of anticipation (Losing sleep), but I am very keen to get back in there. It spent the whole time taunting us about what we could have, but not in the beta. By the time we are at, say, Monday, I'll be intolerable
to be around. I'll be way too excited.

 

Well GreyMittens as Akame posted and the front page of this website. Get any free game (Destiny if you so choose) when you buy an Xbox One between 7th and the 13th.

 

There's a lot of hype and anticipation around this game because it's bungies first since the halo franchise

 

I think the only company that might get *** by it is Sony. It benefits Bungie and Activision with game sales so I don't see them getting too upset over it.
