Microsoft needs your credit card.

I am some what upset that I couldn't play last night because Xbox Live didn't have a valid credit card. I have a paid subscription and I even have over $70 in my account. I know my subscription is up to date because i thought I hadn't paid it so I tried
using the stack of 2 days free membership cards I had laying around and it said I was already a gold member and that to give the codes to a friend. Why thank you xbox for the advice but no. So is that the case I need a vaild credit card to play online? I can't
believe kids that play online are using credit cards to play online.

You should contact your bank or credit card company to confirm that the credit card is active, it has sufficient funds, and it is not being blocked for any reason.

Solution 3: Try your purchase again later

Well it turns out that the card that was compromised a few days ago they didn't take out my membership which should of been done a month ago being that was when my membership was due.
