Microsoft needs to work on the quality of their products.

I been using my Xbox One since the day it was release, its been almost a year and every time I use my Xbox one I feel like I am using an unfinished product, a prototype that did not go through any kind of QA. I am constantly having issues with Kinect triggering
when it shouldn't and ignoring voice commands. Errors with 3rd party apps, I understand that Microsoft is not the developer but it would help if Microsoft pushed back on the developers to improve the quality. Also its been 10 months since the release of Xbox
one and there still isn't an HBO go app for Xbox One. I regret getting rid of my Xbox 360, even though the hardware was unreliable at least the software worked and there were a bunch of supported apps. I think Xbox is a joke as a media center, the tv guide
is horrible and is always having issues detecting the hdmi input from the direct tv. At this point I am just going to disconnect it from my tv and get an Apple Tv or a Roku and use the Xbox only when decent games come out which is like once a year.

One thing for sure I am not buying another Microsoft product until they stop putting gimmicks (kinect) on their devices and start improving quality on things that matter.

When will Microsoft start caring about the quality of their devices?

Microsoft has never cared about the longevity of their products as long as they keep making a killing in profits from people naive enough to believe the product will work longer than 3 years. I can list off a laughable number of products made by Microsoft
that I have bought which do not work anymore simply because they were not made with quality & durability in mind. My Xbox 360, the cheap headsets, even their bread-n-butter Windows Operating System itself, which has seemingly been susceptible to viruses since
the first computer virus ever came along. Windows 7 didn't exactly "wow" me, & certainly it didn't make things that much "simpler" either.

 

Anyone know what to do for a broken Elite controller?

Microsoft really need to take some ownership for the quality of their pads, this is not an uncommon complaint and shouldn't be happening on a premium product.

I'm guessing your in the USA Nugly? If so sorry I don't know your trading laws but in the UK you'd be covered for a year as far as I'm aware if not more under European laws.
