Microsoft NEEDS to have Preloading in time for Destiny on 9/9

about the only thing that really grinds my gears, is that i'll have to stay up until 2am to start downloading. other than that, i'd love to see pre-downloading and stuff, but i'm not all that concerned if it takes them a while to get it going.

Destiny?

Destiny hard copies (disc bought from retailers) will be available from your local retailer at midnight on 9/9/09 if they offer midnight release. Digital copies, due to microsoft being scrooges have to wait until 3:00 A.M. EST to install and play the game.

 

I absolutely agree regarding Destiny being pushed more digitally (Pre-Order, Early Download). But it just isn't going to happen.

 

It's too early for the Destiny pushing. Give it until about the 25th of August. Then the trailers and adds will flood in.

 

yeah make no mistake they'll definitely let it be known that Destiny is coming. maybe they'll push preorders early who knows.

 

I am going to pick up Destiny at midnight, stick in my X1, go to bed, wake up and play it lol.

And if they allow pre-loading, the servers will be jammed when that floodgate is opened too...

 

The sooner pre load comes out the better...

 

I do not care what game they start with. Mayby they want start with games they owned.

 

Preloading is now available for Madden 15 which launches tomorrow so we know support for it is already here on the Xbox One. So how about Destiny Microsoft? I mean what would be the excuse for not having it on the soon to be biggest selling title this year
unless Activation has a signed contract with Sony to only allow preloading on Playstation?

Would be nice to finally get some real info regarding the Digital Guardian Edition on XB1 as well. GameStop.com is selling a $90 placeholder for it but it's just Xbox Live currency that you can redeem on the XBL store.

Pre-ordering a digital copy? Pre-downloading? Da hell?

You've waited this long for the game and an extra hour to download it is gonna be too long? This must be the most pointless feature for the X1 besides hand gestures with Kinect.

 

^^Umm not sure if you are trolling or just being a total RICHARD but having a game installed and ready to go is a pretty nice feature. And not everyone has a 100MB connection to download things at lightning speed like you obviously do. Also since digital
games are not available until 3 am EST time here in the states its a much needed feature, especially for bigger titles such as Destiny.

 

Destiny requires 40GB of hard drive space and on launch day the XBL network will be slower as will the Bungie servers. I have a 50 Mbps connection and even if I got that full amount the entire download it would still take nearly 2 hours to download if it's
nearly 40GB of data.

Add that on to the fact that they won't update the Store to allow access until 12:00 AM PST which is 3 AM on the East Coast and that puts you at around 5 AM in the morning to start playing when you could of just went to a local Walmart or Gamestop, bought
a physical copy, and been home playing before 1 AM.
