Microsoft needs a reality check.

Why is it that almost every thread I go to on here the is always that phrase "slap in the face".

It's apparently a very common phrase in the UK.

 

Is 7 months straight to PC or are we exaggerating a bit?

I still prefer console gaming so in no way will this sway many users away from buying an X1.

 

Why should it even matter? As long as they never come out on Playstation I don't see the problem. Even still, I only like one of Sony's 1st party exclusives and sadly its only worth a rent at best. If those did come out on PS I'd most likely be ok sticking
with Xbox One anyway.

 

I didn't know Forza 5 was on PC... I didn't know Zoo Tycoon (the version on Xbox 1), Forza 5, and a few other games labelled exclusive to Xbox 1, were on PS4...

 

I couldnt care less if "exclusives" like Ryse and DR3 go to PC 6 to 8 months after release, big deal we had them at the time that counts.





@Bizzaromantis No, no its not.....I havnt seen or heard that phrase in years until I started reading post on here.

 

I think that having only 3 retail exclusives - Forza 5, Fighter Within & Kinect Sports Rivals - makes the xbox one a less attractive proposition to potential new customers. I don't see the WiiU or PS4 pulling the same trick.

 

Not really there are new exclusives coming, Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive etc. Xbox One still has the best game line up, now and in the future.

 

That's your opinion. Microsoft doesn't own the IP on Sunset Overdrive or Quantum Break so who's to say they won't port to PC too? Lets not forget that both Amazon and Steam listed Halo collection for PC this week, later denied, but who knows. The more "exclusives"
that port, the less incentive there is for someone to buy an x1.

 

Who cares if they port six to eight months down the line, theres still Gears, Halo etc and again who give a fig if they go to PC. People buy consoles for a combination of factors not just in the hope that some games remain exclusive to the system forever.
Console features, Live service, MP experience, friends on same console, all factor in. You make it sound like its the death knell and everyone will flock to the competition because a few exclusives get released to the PC when the console life for them is
pretty much dead.

Its not even as if titles like Gears that have gone to PC in the past have done any damage to console sales anyway, the PC market has very little impact on the console market.

 

It's a good thing, the larger the difference in sales gets the more expensive it gets for ms to tie anything exclusive down, devs keeping the option to port to pc softens the blow.

I see lloydys point though, they start releasing all the exclusives I'm interested in on pc and il get rid and play there same way I do for Bethesda titles.

 

@loydy There isn't much of a reason to believe Microsoft nowadays when they deny something. Last year Frankie even denied that H2A was being made.

Coincidentally that happens to be around the time that Halo 1/2/3 had official steam groups added and when Halo 3 popped up in the SteamDB and AMD driver profiles. It's pretty clear they were working on it at some point then scrapped both into what became
the Halo Collection.

Not to mention the Halo mouse popping up out of nowhere with the tag "Gear up for battle".

I agree totally. Peps don't just choose Xbox because of the graphics... or even games... It's because of the experience which M provides on their console run service. Xbox Live, friends and peps who play online aka Xbox Live, messaging, smart glass, Kinect,
no need to be concerned if your PC meets the recommended or minimum requirement for games. It's also why Xbox Live has MILLIONS of peps who play on Xbox 360 in particular (and Xbox 1). Xbox 1 does have exclusives for sure which currently can only be officially
found on Xbox.
