Microsoft Movies & TV App

So I still use my 360, I've purchased well over a 100 movies and tv episodes through the Microsoft Movies&TV app, I recently tried to watch a movie and there was a play back error, I attempted this several times over several days hoping the issue
would correct itself as it often has, but no luck so I deleted the file and I went to redownload it assuming it was a licensing issue with that particular digital copy, but when I try to download it it says that they cant get the licensing for the film which
I already paid for and have watched many times. So did Microsoft lose the lisence to that particular film?

Digital movies purchased form the Microsoft store are only streamed to your console, there is no download option so you require a connection to view them.

On a Windows 10 PC you can use the Movies and TV app to download them for offline viewing.

No you only need the Microsoft account and the app.
You will be able to watch what is currently running on the Movies & TV app.

Sometimes they do lose the license rights to content. I remember a few years back there was a big issue around one of the Alien movies I believe.
