microsoft minesweeper just crashes after the most recent updates for Win 10.

I have had this issue before, and it took many many uninstall, reboot, install, reboot's until I got it working again. Before I start this tortuous effort, please can you confirm that you have a full test programme for your games. I play this game just
about every day, especially Daily Challenges, and in any normal company would have tested this sort of thing. It appears that you may not. I have recently flashed my firmware, could it have been that?

just mimesweeper - I play solitaire and mahjong every day too and no problems with them

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this issue. You may wish to try the troubleshooting for Minesweeper and other casual games available in our Microsoft
Casual Games FAQ too see if you're able to launch the game correctly. Alternatively, I would recommend reaching out to the

Microsoft Casual Games community for Minesweeper on Facebook as well. They're very active on that page and would perhaps have further knowledge on how to assist you best.

I had the same problem with crashing as soon as the game was loaded.

In my case I traced the cause to a running service called AMD External Events Utility. I disabled that and the problem was solved.

So far I've experienced no adverse effects from disabling the service.

I have just spent the day doing a reset on my PC to get a clean copy of the operating system. Just got to the point where everything is installed again - and guess what - mimesweeper falls over AGAIN. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Is this happening to you with any other windows 10 games, or is it just for minesweeper?
