    Please can you tell me who sent this email. Please just put @[their domain]. This will allow me to see if it was a SCAM or an Phishing attempt.

    Normally Microsoft don't send out notifications about Accounts been closed for inactivity, unless it is for OneDrive. With that been said, while you say you have been active on Xbox. You also need to ensure your signing into your Microsoft Account at Outlook.com - Microsoft free personal email) at least once a month. This will ensure the system
    picks up you are using your account.

    If you do get any sort of email telling you that your Account will be closed and it is not from a @microsoft.com sender. Please do not follow the links within the email. If it asks you to visit the Microsoft account overview page, type it
    in yourself by opening a browser and typing: https://account.microsoft.com or https://account.live.com

    Many people who try and lour victims into their phishing attacks will mask the URLs they provide. So while it says Outlook.com - Microsoft free personal email it could actually redirect you to their site.
