Microsoft Mahjong Premium

I am running Microsoft Mahjong Premium on a Microsoft Surface Device with windows version 8.1

For the past couple of days (worked perfectly for previous 6 months) the pointer device stops working aft less than a minute.

It is not happening in any other app.

I upgraded to Premium after the problem started but it has not cured it.

Microsoft Mahjong not recognizing my 1 year upgrade.

In February, 2016, I purchased Microsoft Mahjong upgrade for 1 year. I had to reinstall Microsoft Solitaire collection and now Mahjong is no longer recognizing the premium upgrade so I am getting the advertisements. How do I get it to recognize the premium
upgrade. The login is correct.

 

Not Working

I am a premium user on Microsoft Mahjong. When I click on the tab to load the program it takes me into the Microsoft Store and I am unable to get to Mahjong. What has happened?

I am sorry to hear that you are having this issue with Mahjong. Let's first make certain that the most recent update for the game actually made it onto your Surface. You can check for updates from the Store app. Once you're in the Store app, open the
Settings charm, and then tap on "App Updates" and then tap on the "Check for updates" button. We suggest you use a reliable network connection the first time you start any update.

If no new updates are shown, please let me know.

Ok, let's make certain that nothing is corrupt with your version of the game. We are going to uninstall the game. Once it's uninstalled, press the Windows Key+R, and then type wsreset.exe in the Run dialog box and hit Enter. This will refresh the Windows
Store. Once the refresh is done, download and then reinstall the game. Please let me know if you see the same issue once the game is back on your device.

I followed your instructions as above, uninstalling, reloading the store and then reinstalling the game, but unfortunately the problem still exists. The pointer works for the first few moves only and then stops working and I have to use the keyboard to continue.
This is still the only game this happens with.

 

Are you able to get the touch pointer to work anywhere else in the game or it just won't let you move tiles?

 

The touch pointer works everywhere, including for the first few tiles I move, then it just stops and I have to revert to using the keyboard to complete the game. Not helpful to have to use the keyboard on a timed challenge.

 

I've done more research on this issue and this is actually due to the Surface update on January 14th. It's affecting not only this game but all games/apps that use touch controls (including popular apps such as Google Chrome). I'm going to keep on top of
this issue and see if we can reach out to the Surface team. From the Surface forums, it appears this is a known issue on this update and hopefully they'll get a fix out soon.

 

That may be the answer, but it does not happen in any other game and I play Taptiles and Solitaire collection challenges every day

 

I have contacted the dev team to see if there's anything we can do on our end to help mitigate this issue. It should be noted that this does not happen with all apps or games because the touch controls are different.

 

The issues with this game appear to be getting worse. For the last two days (today and yesterday) there is one game of the Daily Challenge games that wont allow me to play. Each time I try to play I am thrown out of the game, out of Mahjong and back to the
desktop. Any ideas?

 

Yes, we are aware of the Daily Challenge issue and are working to get it resolved quickly.

 

I am having trouble playing xbox mahjong on my computer. When I try to play game it takes me back to desktop.
