    I have tried most troubleshooting techniques mentioned online but feel free to suggest others. I am not sure when this started occurring.

    Windows10 and Microsoft Mahjong issue

    Running on Windows 10, Microsoft Mahjong fails to sign-in to Xbox Games. Had the same problem with Wordament until the latest Windows 10 update.

    Problems following W10 Creator Update

    Following the recent Windows 10 Creator update (June 2017) I am now unable to sign in to Mahjong - "Microsoft Mahjong is currently not available on your account - error code 0x803FB001". I've checked firewalls. Any ideas please?

    After trying many times to remove and then add this app through Windows Store, I started trying various PowerShell commands. Most tutorials tell you how to uninstall all apps, I wanted to uninstall one specifically and force the Windows Store to completely
    redownload it.

    Open Windows PowerShell in administrator mode, then...

    PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> remove-appxpackage -package Microsoft.MicrosoftMahjong_2.5.1508.1801_x86__8wekyb3d8bbwe

    ^^ This removes the app, but does not seem to be any differently done than Windows Store uninstalling the app.

    So I reinstalled the app, which seemed to validate licenses from Windows Store and then reinstall the cached version from the HDD.

    So Next I tried the following

    PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> Get-AppXPackage -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftMahjong | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    ^^ This re-registers this specific app. I ran this a few times, including once while the app was uninstalled just to see what happened.

    Then ... I think I removed the app again (either using Powershell or usual Windows).

    The next time I tried reinstalling from the Windows Store, it re-downloaded the WHOLE APP and reinstalled. This time it launches properly! Microsoft Mahjong crashes (Windows 10, latest updates) :)

    Sorry for the inexact description but it's pretty early in the morning.

    This not a system issue. The system updates Mahjong, from the Microsoft Store, no matter what version of Windows 10 you are using, and then fails to update the data from the old version of Mahjong. I purchased the premium version last year, and I will
    probably not renew it.

    I have a similar issue. Mahjong shows that it is trying to log into xbox, but never succeeds.

    I have done the wsreset, reinstalled and synced. I have verified that I can log into my xbox.com account. I saw articles indicated Mahjong was broken in the latest Windows 10 preview, but I am on Windows 8.1
