    This has been ongoing for over 4 months now. I sent my xbox (in warranty at the time) off to be repaired. After receiving no information on what was wrong with it or what was done to it I was told it had been sent back.

    I never received it. After contacting xbox they told me that since it had been stolen I had to file a police report before they could send another, seems strange seeing as it was stolen on its way back but fine, I filed the report.

    Then I got radio silence. The representative I had been dealing with ghosted me and when I called they told me they were putting it as a priority case. More silence. Now I’ve called again and after spending yet another hour on the phone I have been told that they wont replace it and that I need to wait for the police to track it down...

    This is shady as hell on microsofts part and I’m desperate, what can I do???

    I need to be proactive? Lol, I’ve been chasing MS multiple times a week since they lost it, they were the ones who initially told me they were contacting fedex before they seemingly gave up and told me to call them myself.

    Also, it was literally a member from the Xbox support on the phone and via email who told me that I would get a replacement once I submit the police report.

    I’ve done literally everything I can possibly do, this is on Xbox for being slow, lazy, and reluctant to sort out an issue that is at the end of the day their fault.

    Did they say which delivery company they sent it back with & did you get a tracking number?

    If so then contact the delivery company with the tracking number as it would be down to them to solve although Microsoft should be doing more to help you.

    You would have to talk to FedEx due to insurance

    They are ultimately responsible but if you waited too long then therr is nothing ms can do

    As the insurance is between you and the shipping company

    You do need to be proactive

    And no it wouldn't be ms who sends the replacement as it's insured for shipment you need to address that issue with the police and the shipping

    It was FedEx and they did supply me with a tracking number after I asked for it. Xbox support apparently initially tried to open a case with fedex but they never followed up and never received a reply.

    When I called myself, FedEx told me that it had been too long and I needed to either contact Microsoft or the police. Back to square one and Xbox support have been utterly useless after initially promising a replacement and now turning back on their word. They’re also refusing to refund me my game pass subscription for the past 4 months.

    I’m legitimately baffled by how terrible this has gone, I used to be the guy who defended Xbox over anything and now I just want my money back and to never use one again.

    I understand and in future I absolutely would take it up with the shipping company directly, my issue is that MS support explicitly told me they had already filed a case with them and for me to wait to hear back, I have email records of this.

    I have only done what Xbox told me to do and now that it's too late for FedEx to help me personally I feel as though Xbox should keep to their word and replace the console as they said they would.

    The police have no way of tracking it down and since I was absolutely at home and available on the date of the supposed delivery, I suspect that it was a FedEx driver who stole it rather than a porch pirate.

    Xbox support has been slow and downright negligent, and are now trying to go back on their word, I'm just trying to either get my console back or get a refund for it, that really doesn't seem like it's a big ask considering it is what they promised.
