    After failing to repair my sons xbox, they agreed to send me a new one. It is also defective and they have admitted it is not a new one.

    Seems they can tell bare faced lies and do what they like.

    That's a nice defense, you should try it in court sometime. "Yes your honor, I admit I did commit the crime of (fill in the blank). However, other people have committed that same crime and never been caught and prosecuted, therefore I submit it would be
    patently unfair for me to be found guilty."

    Why not ignore/mute those type of people? Tell the others who're getting the abuse to do the same instead of letting such a person get to you. If someone starts acting rude and offensive, I mute, block and report him and tell my friends to do the same if
    he/she is bugging them.

    If you got a communications ban, it's because you probably got reported more than once or wouldn't let it go. Sometimes it's better to just take the higher ground and let it go.

    Xbox Support is there to troubleshoot or if needed, to create a repair order.

    Xbox Support does not have an option to guarantee you a New Xbox console.

    The repair center is the one that will either repair or replace the Xbox console.

    It's unusual that you have received an Xbox from the repair center that is not working.

    You're welcome to post the issue here if you want to troubleshoot the issue that you're running into.

    4. Microsoft’s Responsibility

    (a) After You return Your Xbox One or Accessory to Microsoft (at your cost, unless Microsoft is required by law to pay such costs), Microsoft will inspect it.

    (b) If Microsoft determines that the Xbox One or Accessory malfunctioned during the Warranty Period under Normal Use Conditions,
    Microsoft will (at its option) repair or replace it, or refund the purchase price to You.

    Unless restricted by law, repair may use new or refurbished parts and replacement may be with a new or refurbished unit.

    (c) After repair or replacement, Your Xbox One or Accessory will be covered by this warranty for the longer of the remainder of Your original Warranty Period, or 90 days after Microsoft ships it to You. Where required by applicable law, the original Warranty
    Period will be deemed to extend for the period of time equal to the time which Your Xbox One or Accessory was in Microsoft’s possession.

  5. Ask for a new replacement console where they put a hold on your CC etc. When you get the new console, put your old one in the box with tracking and ship it back to MS. They in turn take the hold off your CC when they get your old console back.

    Yes, MS has done this since launch. (These Forums)

    I would not depend on the repair center as they can send you back a fire hazard in the form of a console, just as they did to me around 2004 with an OG console with nothing more wrong wit it than Dirty Disc Errors, they replaced it with someone else's console
    that when connected and turned on. Shot sparks out the back. They never took ownership of it, but at that time I was well off and simply got tired of calling xbox only to get the run around and bought me a new one.

    Never trust a used replacement, all you'll get is someone else's headaches and when you call support, a migraine!

    Welcome to my world. I recently (11/17) purchased the highly touted Xbox One X. Wow was I excited to get it. I hooked it up and played for about 2 weeks before it totally crashed (no power whatsoever). I had to bundle it up and send it in for warranty
    repair (what a frigging hassle). Amazingly, they returned it via FedEx but the driver left it on the sidewalk outside of my apartment where it sat for 6 hours (based on the fact that their tracking showed it being delivered at around noon and I don't get
    home from work until 6:00PM). Well ... during that time some lowlife punk in my high crime apartment complex stole it. So what's Microsoft's solution? Tell me that they will get back to me with a solution then simply not get back to me. So I contact them
    a second time and they say it's my problem ... not theirs. Customer service in America has gone to sh*t. I won't buy another Microsoft product ever again. They got their cash so who gives a crap if I'm left with nothing. Great "service."

    In this situation I would center my anger on the shipping company. Aren’t they responsible for getting the package to the recipient? If they don’t, isn’t there some sort of insurance to cover a replacement?
