    Hi,

    At X-mas I bought an Xbox one with Kinect, tuner and remote for my son.

    Now it turns out that Kinect is not compatible with the tuner.



    Kinect requires the language of the Xbox to be set to English, fine, but it also changes the region to US/US (why??).

    Having an Xbox with region set to UK/US makes breaks the tuner (I live in Sweden).

    I.e. IF I set my Xbox as “Swedish” I can use my tuner but to use Kinect it has to be set to US/UK region.



    Why is it like this? Region and language has been separated since Windows 3.0…

    No, Kinect features on 360 games will not work. The emulator that was built for XB1 does not include USB support, needed for Kinect to work.

    Giving Kinect 2.0 features to Kinect 1 games would require retooling of the game and that's done by developers, not Microsoft. It isn't worth pursuing this given how abysmal the latter's reception was on the market.

    The power button on the XBONE console will not turn on or off.

    No, it will only tuen on with Kinect or controller, NOT the power 'touch' button, it still doesn't work

    cannot seem to get 5.1 audio (speakers) on mw3

    also just tested kinect tuner audio which has 5.1 and it worked perfectly!

    Put the kinect on top of the tv is my sugestion. I have a crown kinecty tv mount and it works ok also you can enter the kinect tuner and manually adjust the kinect angle

    Yeah, I did try the HW150PVR code and it does not seem to work for the HW180STB. I was going to get the 150, but noticed some customers were having issues with that.

    I also tried several other codes just to see if I could find it at random, but no luck. It would be great if the Kinect could detect the signal code by pressing buttons on the remote.

    I also wish Microsoft came out with its own tuner/DVR as an add-on in the future.

    Does the xbox 360's Kinect still scan up/down when you power on the console?

    I think if you have ran the kinect tuner and have it calibrated correctly it no longer pans up and down. It only does that if its not set up correctly

    [/quote] No it won't. You need a USB to connect it to your computer and the Xbox one Kinect does not have that. Plus the system requirements say Xbox 360 Kinect or Microsoft Kinect for windows.
