Microsoft jigsaw on a new computer

I had to replace my laptop this week. Setting up the new one I logged into Xbox games to download the Microsoft Jigsaw game. It downloaded fine except when I opened the program it did not carry over all of my points. It looks like the game downloaded at
the point I was at more that a year ago.

Is there a way I can get the program to update to the point my old laptop died? My old laptop no longer connects to the internet.

    :)

    Progress not synching between computers

I have two computers, both with Windows 8.1 and both have Microsoft Jigsaw installed. On my desktop computer, I was playing Microsoft Jigsaw and then I closed the application. A bit later, I logged into my laptop computer and opened Microsoft Jigsaw and
completed several puzzles under classic jigsaw. Moving forward to today, I open Microsoft Jigsaw on my desktop computer, and go into the classic jigsaw. None of what I completed on my laptop computer carried over to the desktop. Both computers are using the
same microsoft account and both are using the same xbox games username. What happened?

    Hiya, ArthurScreen!

Paul from Xbox Forums Team here to help with the situation, it's unfortunate that the game did not carry over the progress you made on the previous laptop. If possible I believe the best solution is to log into the previous laptop and check to see which
email was the primary email set on the account to make sure we are logged into the correct account. Please let us know if this helped solve the issue.

    Hi Paul,

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I've been a little tied up the last few weeks.

Unless I am missing something I can't access the account information (name and e-mail) without being connected on-line. My old laptop can no longer connect to the internet. I just checked on the new laptop that the log in information is current.

I started playing MS Jigsaw I believe it was April of 2016. In November of 2016 I had to change my e-mail. since then I have had to delete the program and reload it twice because of issues with the game freezing. last year I had to download the game again
when the hard drive in my old laptop died and had to be replaced. Each time my current score at the time transferred correctly. With the new laptop I logged into MS Store and downloaded a copy of the program. when I launched the program it automatically logged
me in with my game tag Unworldlybee69 using my current e-mail information. before my old laptop was damaged I had a score (gold bars) in excess of 1,000,000. I believe it was around 1,078.000 and change. the score that transferred over to the new laptop is
776,495. that would be about the score I had in the spring/summer of last year. that would be after the change of e-mail accounts. also when I view the puzzle packs It shows many packs I have purchased but the ones I have purchased in the last year like Barns
for example shows that I never purchased them.

I know I was connected on-line when playing on the old laptop. My score each time I logged in showed my progress. I stream TV on my laptop which was working fine even after the old laptop was damaged. I didn't have an issue with the modem until I got the
damaged laptop back from the repair shop.

I don't know if this will work but. I just purchased an external hard drive. I am going to try deleting the game from the new laptop that I downloaded. then try to copy the game program and files from the old laptop onto the external hard drive then import
the files to the new laptop. hopefully that will restore my score. I don't like the idea of losing 300,000+ points and having to redo puzzles I have already done.

Thank you for keeping us updated on this situation. You are correct about using the proper Microsoft account. The saved data is applied to each individual account. Therefore, the account that is used on your old laptop will be the one to sign in to on the
    new laptop. The

As far as I know I only have one account. I changed my e-mail address about two years ago (updating all my accounts took time). If you show me having more than one account please let me know so we can work together to delete the extra ones.

    Hi Arthur,

Thanks for keeping us updated and reaching out to us! Unfortunately we are unable to view the account information. I would agree with you though to try to copy everything over to an external drive. I believe that has a higher chance of bringing over your
data like it would with a console.

Also, I have looked around a bit to see if there were any other fixes, others have said after time the points or puzzles appeared for them. However, others said they had to complete the puzzles again to gain there points back. Check out the following link
