Microsoft Jigsaw -- mute option does not work

I've been trying to find an answer to this for years. I always have Microsoft Jigsaw's music and sound effects turned off. And the game sound is also muted in my computer's volume settings. However, every time I win a game, a new game sound tab thingie opens up and I'm BLASTED with the end-game music. Also the ads that pop up throughout the game open a new sound tab for each ad, and those are also incredibly loud. There seems to be no way at all to mute these or to keep the volume turned down. Even when I have my computer's master volume very low, the game will blast me as loud as possible. I have a hearing disorder and can't stand the blasts of noise.

The only time I play Microsoft Jigsaw is while I watch videos, so I have to have my headphones on for the video, but then my ears are painfully blasted with the game's music, no matter how many times I turn off the sound!

This is the reason I stopped playing the game a few years ago. I thought I'd try it again today and see if the sound problem has been fixed, but it hasn't. 80 of the 102 puzzle collections I'd bought have vanished, anyway, AGAIN, so since this game steals everything I buy, may as well not play it anyway. But I just wanted to see if there's a way to fix the sound in case I do want to play the 22 collections I have left.

I'm sorry to learn that you're having audio issues with Microsoft Jigsaw, but based on your description, it could be a problem with the game itself.

I recommend clicking on the Start menu on the taskbar -- Settings -- Apps -- Apps and Features, find Microsoft Jigsaw, and when checked, you should see "Advanced Options." Here, try the "Fix" and "Reset" options.

If that doesn't work, uninstall and delete Microsoft Jigsaw (as long as you have a Microsoft account in the game, the progress will be saved to the account), and then download and install again through the Microsoft Store to see if the game is faulty, in theory, these solutions can fix it.

Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Click Microsoft Jigsaw > Advance options > Reset

Worked fine for me. YAY! another month of jigsaw puzzles to solve.

I had the same issue - go to Settings > Apps, scroll down to Microsoft jigsaw. Click it but DO NOT click 'uninstall' - under the name Microsoft jigsaw and Microsoft Studios you will see 'advanced options". Click that and on the next
screen click reset - ignore the warning. I used the reset and then re-loaded Jigsaw and it did NOT ask me to sign in again, and all my points were still in place - and the downloads worked again!
