    I have, for the last few days, been attempting to buy a game on the Marketplace on Xbox One. I dont have much time tonight, as I have to go to work in 30 minutes, so I called Microsoft about the issue, only to be asked if I wanted to partake in a Caribbean
    Cruise or something, I didnt care, so I pressed 2. They hung up. I called again, and pressed 1, and had to take a survey. I just want an answer as to why I cant make a purchase, I dont care about a cruise or a survey. I take the survey anyway, only to have
    my call transferred to someone advertising the cruise I dont care about, I try to explain to him "Hey, I dont want a cruise, I just want to talk to someone at-" and he interrupted me telling me to have a nice day and hung up. Is this a joke? I want support
    with my issue, I dont give a damn about a cruise. So I get on the support website to try and chat with someone about it, I left the house by now, so I didnt have access to my xbox. It requested an error code and something else I dont remember, along with a
    description. I understand the reasoning behind that, but there was no option I could find that would let me just chat with someone. So now I'm ranting here about it. Did I do anything wrong? Was I just being stupid and called the wrong number, which was listed
    on google as the Microsoft support number? Was there an option I missed to actually talk to someone? Am I missing anything?

    Xbox quitting game and returning to home screen randomly

    I have called Microsoft Support. This issue started for me yesterday with NBA2k14 only. I reinstalled the game and the same issue occurred. The Microsoft Support Rep. had told me that the issue is with 2k servers and that their was possibly a patch or update on the website. I did not find one. You may need to check the game manufacterers for updates. uninstalling and reinstalling should prompt the update but if they are having server issues then we may need to wait until their server issues are fixed to attempt the update again. If its an issue with your xbox then you may want to put in a service ticket.

    Are you on the beta or have you used your account on anyone's console who has the beta? If you check your account at
    https://billing.microsoft.com it should show you what you redeemed. If it shows it in currency then the points were automatically converted to currency instead of points.

    If you are part of the beta, you would need to post in the beta forums.

    If you are not part of the beta, you can make purchases if you're signed into a console that has the beta, but you'll have to wait until the update rolls out to everyone to be able to make purchases on your console.

    Yay! Another "I was suspended for no reason" thread! Haven't heard one of these before.... *smh

    Why do you guys feel the need to come here crying because you got busted and suspended? Play your games without cheating and don't mod anything and you won't be in this situation to begin with. Add this keyword "I was dumb and cheated".

    Even though matchmaking in older games may put you in hacked lobbies, staying in the lobby for even one match is a violation of section F of the Code of Conduct:



    F. Cheating & Tampering

    •Do not cheat in a game unless cheats have been deliberately enabled by the developer.

    •Do not use unauthorized hardware or modifications to gain an advantage or disrupt the competitive landscape of Xbox Live.

    •Do not exploit game vulnerabilities or glitches.

    •Do not make unauthorized modifications to your account profile or its contents, to include but not limited to: tenure, Avatar, gamesaves, or Gamerscore.

    •Do not intentionally play with someone who is using unauthorized software or methods.

    •Do not play any illegitimately obtained software or pirated games.

    •Do not take any action to cause degradation of service for Microsoft or other users.

    •Do not play a game before it has been authorized for play on the service.



    The 2 clauses I highlighted and bolded are the two that explains why playing in a hacked lobby can get your account suspended or banned. The first clause I highlighted is if the hacked lobby allowed you to do anything that is not intended by the developers,
    but as for the second clause, staying in that lobby can be seen as a violation of that clause in that section of the Code of Conduct and it helps pave the way for the other clause I highlighted to be violated.



    From now on, if you suspect that the lobby is hacked by seeing things such as weird text or graphics on your screen, or anything else not normal, either dashboard or turn off your console immediately to avoid getting any action taken against your account and
    if you know who was running the hacked lobby, file a complaint against him or her.

    The "Do you own this game or app?" error (with a disc in the drive) can occur for a variety of reasons, like:

    • Corrupt cache requires a power cycle.
    • Need to reinstall as the game installation became corrupt.
    • Your disc is too scratched or dirty, and may need a replacement.
    • There is a hardware fault in the disc drive of your Xbox, which can only be addressed by
      scheduling a repair.
