Microsoft isn’t helping

So long story short,

I was hacked a week ago by a former friend who had my account on his Xbox one. He messaged a bunch of people gross stuff, made a graphic profile picture and deleted a lot of my game data. I let Microsoft know all of this and they said they would be more than happy to help in getting me an account recovery. 6 days pass nothing from Microsoft support and I’m stressing out chatting to them online. I get an email today that they couldn’t verify my information and won’t proceed with the account recovery. And now my Xbox account is locked because of the stuff the hacker was posting on my account so I can’t even do a thing.

Needless to say it’s been a long time since I created my account so obviously I can’t remember everything. Worst yet I can’t remember the password for my gmail linked to the account. I feel like I’m really screwed here and there is nothing being done. I spent hundreds of dollars on that account and had so many game purchases that are now just gone and money wasted. I contacted Xbox support again this morning and submitted a review of account to atleast get my account unlocked so I can play again, even if the hackers have access at least I can take some measures to keep them out. But I won’t know anything probably for a few days. I’m really frustrated with the lack of flexibility on Microsofts part. It almost feels like I’m being punished for getting hacked?? Has anyone gone through this and had a good outcome? I feel like I’m stuck with no options.
