    Microsoft - I think I did a mistake.... Xbox One not starting up anymore, GSOD


    So after long thinking I decided to buy the Xbox One - not a big gamer, but GTA V is out and I played the other titles long time ago on my Playstations. Main reason to switch my decision to the Xbox was PLEX support... stupid me, should have sticked to the
    initial plan and go with a Playstation...

    However: this is what happened:

    Bought the machine, installed the huge updates and a few games, bought GTA V online, played 2 hours or so Call of Duty, game froze, turned the machine off.....

    Want to start again, Green Screen - nothing is happening anymore... Read about the Green Screen of Death - realized that I might be
    [Mod Removed]... ok, found that there is an offline tool to check. downloaded the 1.something GB file over night, tried to get it running... a few seconds later a black screen appears that says I shall contact the Xbox service team. Tried that
    now a while but even the forum did only work somehow partly today.

    Black screen shows a code: E101 00000503 80070003

    Further issue: bought the console abroad due to my traveling, so cannot simply bring the crappy thing back. What to do now?

    Yea, you brought DLC some of which isn't even out of production yet at a 33% discount. I could never waste money on such a thing myself.

    page. If the USB update tool doesn't work for you again, the console will need to be repaired. The repair steps will be at the end of that support article, but you can also get in touch with out chat or phone support agents through

    Back from Christmas holidays, changed the country to Malaysia - no feasibility to choose anything.

    Just want to get a phone number, email contact or address where I can bring the bricked black disaster thing to. Appreciate your help - if you can help. most expensive 2 hours of game play in history....

    If I burn that brick: how do I get a refund for the already online purchased games?

    I was just 45 minutes in a chat with a MS guy, I should send it back for repair.... just when I was about to get the info about service order creation the chat was disconnected, now new waiting time 30 minutes... It is just crazy!!!!!

    I am feeling so stupid to go with Microsoft... Really thought I should give MS a chance - especially since they have the support for PLEX - basically my main / sole reason why to go with MS.... I should not have trusted, fears are confirmed....

    live update: after 2 more hours on the chat (including waiting time and new account creation) MS support realized that there is a glitch in the system and a repair order cannot be created ("documented a case for this one for our higher level of support")...
    so I give up for today and have to wait till MS contacts me.... wonder if and when this will happen.....

    Will keep posted here what will happen - after two hours of excited gameplay I still have 11 months of warranty left - hope it will be fixed within that time.

  11. Started the chat now, 17 minutes to wait... after 2 months of having the brick laying around it should be fine. Although it is late and would rather get an email from the support (or just the simple answer of how and where the brick can be disposed).

  12. By the way: just in case someone buys the box: I would not buy any games online anymore. If you are not happy with the product you have a game which you cannot sell anymore.

    In my case: I just want to get rid of the Xbox since it does not start. It was a huge waste of money anyway, if MS keeps me waiting and ignoring till the warranty is over the money is gone. Funny enough so: I bought GTA V online and they won't even refund
    the game although I have not even had the chance to download the game before the Green Screen of Death appeared..
