    So I purchased the Taken King DLC back in September of 2015 with my PayPal account. I didn't play Destiny at all really up until a few days ago when I popped the game into my new Xbox One. When I put the game in, I was unable to access any of the Taken
    King DLC. I contacted customer support and she ran me through a few troubleshooting tips and none of them worked after I rebooted my machine. After arguing with her for a bit about the content I paid for not working for me, she somehow convinced me to purchase
    the Taken King again and said she would refund me the purchase immediately afterwards. So I purchased the Taken King AGAIN for another $39.99 and then when I looked in my Xbox account online, she refunded the money to my old PayPal account that had been closed
    for 6 months. I w as very confused as to why she would refund an old PayPal account when I paid with my debit card and not PayPal. It was too late to complain about it so I went to bed and called the next day to get it resolved. Low and behold, I called
    a total of FOUR times that day with each time getting progressively worse until the 5th time. Every time I called I had to be transferred twice and then I waited on hold for at least 5 minutes, and every time I got hung up on. I was so extremely *** off
    that I wanted nothing to do with it. I made another call and finally got through to a nice guy, and after explaining everything he still said that Microsoft could not refund my money and I'd have to go through PayPal or wait for the refund to be rejected
    to get my money back. Well, this made me even more angry since none of this was my fault to begin with. So somehow the refund was accepted by PayPal and I contacted them and they basically said I could screw myself, and there's no way I'm getting my money
    because I owed them money from previous Ebay claims which was complete horse crap and beside the point.

    There are a couple points to be made here. One, the whole reason this problem even exists is because of Microsofts incompetence and software mistakes. I purchased the DLC in September of 2015 and it didn't work in April of 2016, that is Microsofts fault
    not mine correct? Correct. Also, when I was told I would be refunded the $39.99 after I had to be put through the trouble of purchasing something TWICE due to a mistake by Microsoft, I was NEVER told I would be refunded through an old account. Had she told
    me she would refund my old PayPal account, I obviously would have went a different route. But now, due to 2 mistakes by Microsoft, I am out $40 bucks and they are refusing to give me my money back and it's absolute theft in my book and I'm disgusted by it.
    I cannot believe that a multi billion dollar corporation can't afford to give me the money they stole from me, while it was their fault the entire time. It makes me sick, and trust me everyone I know and the social medias will hear about this. It's unacceptable
    and absurd, I'm blown away. Good riddance.

    This is a mini rant, last week, someone stole my xbox live account and stole £85 of my mums money from her credit card, so she rung up microsoft and after a long talk they said they'd refund her money and remove her credit card details from my account, but
    now it's saying I'm suspended from xbox live due to payment options, and I can't sign in using my hotmail on anything because 'there has been too many incorrect passwords' so I've had to make another email just to write this. I don't understand why microsoft
    doesn't just add a 'remove credit card info' on the xbox and save everyone a lot of trouble and frustration.

    Xbox has always dissapointed me, due to poor connection and little security (But of course more security than sony ¬_¬) and after this, I'm tempted to sell my xbox and put the money towards a better PC. So if anyone could help figure out what I can do to
    be able to sign into my hotmail and become unsuspended, it would be much appreciated.

    Microsoft stole my money!! I found several unauthorized charges in my bank account and was refused a refund! Pay close attention to your Microsoft billing and your bank account !!

    Really sorry to hear about the frustrations. It sounds like when you originally made the purchase for The Taken King, the transaction never fully went through which would explain why you were asked to pay for it recently. You can verify all previous transactions
    over on
    commerce.microsoft.com
    if you want to look into the date you believe you originally purchased it. If you're able to find that original transaction there please get a screenshot with your personal information removed and send it to me via Private Message
    (click the envelope under this post)

    Refunds are generally offered to the payment instrument tied to your account which is why it defaulted to your PayPal account. Unfortunately if there was a negative balance on your PayPal account, the refund provided would go towards that negative balance.
    You may need to reach out to PayPal for further communication on them returning your balance.

    purchase?! That doesn't make sense, why you would ask that question? And I tried to send you a screenshot, which is ridiculous because Microsoft has a record of my purchase obviously, but the private message doesn't have an option to insert any screenshot
    so please look it up and you will see I purchased it September 15 2015.

    Yet still, regardless of my PayPal account, Microsoft made TWO mistakes in this transaction which cause the whole problem to begin with, and I have not seen my refund yet and I know I never will because that's how they become more rich, little transactions
    like these. Please fix the problem. Once again, the WHOLE REASON I'm having this issue in NOT because of my current PayPal account or anything else, it's because of the 2 mistakes Microsoft made and is not willing to accept responsibility for! Please take

    You will have to contact Xbox support again and ask to have your case escalated to Microsoft.

    Cyber Punk 2077 is such a bad game even greedy Sony has pulled it from the store and is giving refunds!

    Microsoft will lose money over the long run if they continue to refuse refunds because lifelong xbox users will move to PS as a result of this move by Sony. Not smart Microsoft, shame on you!
