    Microsoft Gold Membership


    Hello Microsoft, this is wondering why my recently updated membership is not working for my xbox live account. I had already paid for it and yet it still won't let me play online or invite any of my friends to the party. Could you please look
    into this and make sure that everything is in order? Thank you.

    Hi

    Firstly if you have only just renewed your subscription it can take a few hours for this to be updated everywhere within Microsoft.

    Can you first try using
    this link     and check the Xbox Live expiry date that is showing against you account and
    this link to make sure your Xbox Live purchase is showing on your purchase history.

    If these are both okay then can you next try a full console restart by pressing and holding the power button on the front of the console for 10-15 seconds, Once the console has restarted hopefully your subscription will be recognised. After this the next
    thing you can try is to
    remove your profile from the console    , restart the console again and re load your profile.

    You cannot use Microsoft Points to purchase Gold Membership or Zune Membership.

    However you can use Microsoft Points to purchase arcade games or any other contents in the marketplace.

    To purchase Gold Membership you will need a Payment Option or PayPal.

    Gold membership is cancelled after upgrading to ultimate membership and cancelling my ultimate membership subscription.

    Gold membership upgrade ultimate membership is Microsoft automatically for users to upgrade, and did not give us the right to choose, that is, if you have a gold membership, you then open the ultimate membership, you have to pay the ultimate membership fee, if you unsubscribe, it will be the same as me, all the members are cancelled, is this mandatory consumption?

    Just bought GOLD but it still says that I am Free

    I am assuming the 14 days of gold is a free trial as microsoft do not sell 14 day gold memberships.. Free trials do not give you access to all the gold features. This is meant to be used to test the xbox live features. If you want access to gold exclusive
    demos and access apps that require gold membership you will need to purchase a proper gold membership.
