Microsoft gift card issue

I got a message from xbox saying deals unlocked sale is back with great savings we’ve deposited $5 usd gift card you can use to buy games, add ons, and movies but when I check my Microsoft account balance there is $0 in my account and the gift card says it doesn’t expire until 09/09/2022

Hi there.

Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done by Microsoft in terms of redeemed gift cards. You will need to take the gift cards back to the retailer where you purchased them from and explain the issue. They may issue a new gift card or refund your purchase.
