Microsoft Gaming App

So I have Xbox Game Pass for PC. The games that I play load just fine but after sometime playing them they close. I wouldn't consider it a crash seeing as there is not "fatal" error presented after the game window closes. However I am checking the Event Viewer and I have multiple warnings.

The warnings seem to appear while the Xbox application is running, as well as during me playing. The Warning states that "The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application" with a CLSID number. Then it lists my Desktop Name (using LRPC) "running the application container Microsoft.Gaming.App". It then reads that "this security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool."

I have looked into the component services tool but it is basically a foreign language to me. I have also looked into a few ways to fix the issue without it and they all say to edit my registry key for the issue. That seems a bit extreme to me, I feel like there is a simpler way to fix the issue without messing with my computer's registry. Please let me know if there is a way to resolve the issue ASAP. In the meantime I am going to uninstall and reinstall the Xbox application to see if that resolves the issue.

Did you solve the issue? I had this issue around a year ago. I could tell you all the 10 steps I followed to solve it, unfortunately what helped me to solved this was to restart my PC as it comes here:

In the part of Windows 10 click on "Reset this PC" these instructions will help you to solve the problem, you can even leave your important files!

There are almost no providers who will give, say a gigabit of data to a single user. Those kinds of fat pipes are designed for simultaneous heavy users. The pipe that you pay for has no effect on the bandwidth Microsoft will allocate you.

Download speeds fluctuate not only based on network conditions, but compresssion/decompression/encryption as well.

Try resetting the Microsoft Store and Gaming Services app. Go to your Settings app and, under Apps and Features, locate the Microsoft Store app. Click on it, then press Advanced Options, then Terminate, and then Reset. Repeat this with the Gaming
Services app too. Restart your PC and try to install the game again.

You're welcome and you should be able to download the game through Microsoft Store App or through Xbox App.

On Microsoft Store simply search for the game and the same with Xbox App. You should have an option to install the game,

I have this issue to but I found a fix. Try using the Microsoft Store App instead of the Xbox App. I was able to download, install and the play games with the Microsoft Store App. Later on, the Xbox App shows the game I installed and is playable.
