Microsoft Games on Windows only work if ipv6 disabled.

Do not worry about it. You accidentally fixed my problem. I disabled IPv6 in my ethernet properties and now it works.

I suspect their maybe an issue with IPv6 in windows 11. I also ran "Get Updates" again in windows store and it hung. Sometimes it worked sometimes it never.

I have repeated the disabling of IPv6 twice and it is repeatable fix. Not as fast as IPv6 but it works.





So it is either a driver issue on my Ethernet, or an IPv6 issue within Windows 11/Microsoft Store.

I work as an infrastructure engineer this was driving me nuts so to fix this issue this is what works.

You have to turn off IPV6

After you have turned IPV6 off do the following

if on Windows 10

1. Step 1, Go to start Menu type Xbox Live settings > Select Xbox Networking > Select Fix It
2. Then click check again.

You may have to restart but if you do restart make sure IPV6 is disabled.

*Disclaimer... only disable IPV6 if your carrier or ISP supports IPV4,***

You might have to turn off IPV6 on your router / ISP box as its enabled by default, for some reason with this application and Windows 10 it does not play nice when IPV6 is enabled

My ISP supports IPv6 in my area. It works just fine.

My Router also supports IPv6 and the Teredo filter is disable (IPv6 isn't disabled).

what worked for me: Disabling IPV6 for the network - so only IPV4 is used to connect to the router!

@taidara That actually worked for me. I also had to disable IPv6 on my Internet connection too (Internode supports native dual stack IPv6 on home connections -
www.internode.on.net/ipv6).

Seems a rather odd thing to need to disable though.
