Microsoft game refund

I recently, a few hours ago, accidently bought far cry 4 on the wrong billing method. I have contacted Xbox about a refund however they denied it, I want to know what terms of sale I have not obliged. I have not played or even installed the game. If anyone
can help I'd be thankful, thanks.

Was it a digital purchase? You could have refunded the game if it was within 14 days of purchase, but as it has already been 3 months, it is not possible.

If you already submitted a refund request, you'll want to try replying to the email you received with your decision.

then its microsoft fault for not informing them of the refund, microsoft should refund then inform the game owner of aid refund so the allotted items are removed from the account. in this case it clearly looks like microsoft did not inform them.
