Microsoft game pricing !

I think that Microsofts game pricing is rediculous ! I recently wanted to purchase the game Evolve xbox1 for my grandson as I looked it up online you can buy a brand new physical copy of this game at Microsoft Store for just $4.99 plus s&h which is a great
deal, however to purchase a digital copy of the exact same game from the Microsoft Store is $29.99 this to me is absurd it's the exact same game ! I have spent a few hundred dollars at the Microsoft Store here lately digital is easier to me as you don't have
to fool with putting the disc in to play but I still think Microsoft to do a better deal than this it's not like they desperately need the money ! Especially when it comes to those of us that have contributed in making them a Multi Billion Dollar Company
! They should be a little more considerate to us Americans that are on a tight budget !

Microsoft does not set the pricing for the games that are on the marketplace. If you wish to discuss pricing or feedback in regards to pricing you'll need to do that with the developer of the game.

Also how does USA Tax work? Games have been $60 for ages, and the rough conversion is near £40 , so do they get tax added on?

You need to complain to the publisher, it is they who set the price for the digital download. When you purchase a digital game, Microsoft take a cut, not the whole amount unless they publish the game.

Ever give consideration to the xbox game pass?

Its pretty amazing for those on a budget and the games you can play with it, remains yours until the subscription laps.

There is a ton of stuff, not to mention that in the future all new exclusives will be available on it. Event at launch day.

Games prices,not Microsoft,only devs/publishers choice.By the way,the games that got a price cut or sales on Xbox one marketplace,are games publish by Microsoft.

The Xbox one price drop is only in UK and still the price is over $/€ 500.

More a smart move than a dumb one.

As for pricing, Microsoft plans to set the prices for the games. Developers will be able to set a wholesale price and then Microsoft will set a retail price. This could mean Microsoft will take some of the hit on price cuts. A spokesperson tells us
that the company will "work closely with the independent developers on price promotions as well."
