Microsoft flight simulator not launching

    Microsoft flight simulator not launching


    Just purchased MSF2020 standard key on Microsoft store.

    Redeems on store. Fine.

    Trying to download I have three options, the digital cd key. Okay.

    Microsoft flight simulator. Hmmm

    and…

    Microsoft flight simulator standard edition.

    All download.

    Neither works as the actual game! The standard edition loads gives me some lovely loading music and logos with a really nice loading image of a plane, cursor appears, nice.. images starts to blur as if bringing up a game menu and then…

    Nothing… every time. Nothing.

    I’m back at the desktop.

    Something about a installer dependency thing came up so I clicked yes. Still nothing

    Ran as admin. Still nothing.

    Any idea?

    Flight Simulator 2020 (Press any key to start)

    Here's how I fixed it:

    Open your start menu

    Right click on Microsoft Flight Simulator

    Choose More>App Settings

    Scroll down to the "Reset" section

    Click both the "Repair" button, and also the "Reset" button.

    Re-launch Microsoft Flight Simulator

    Why did they downgrade Microsoft flight sim 2020?

    It's the strategy of the Asobo Studio. This stupid studio deceived the gamers and downgraded the game to sell Microsoft Flight Simulator 2022 or whatever. I cannot even believe how the Microsoft directors made such decision.

    You know what? Microsoft Flight Simulator 2022 will have the same graphic with the initial launching of MS Sim 2020.

    Flight Simulator X isn't. That is an old game. However Microsoft Flight Simulator is.

    No MS Flight Simulator 'Launcher Button'.

    You just go to Microsoft Flight Simulator in the start menu like anything else

    You can also launch it from theXbox app
