Microsoft flight simulator keeps crashing to desktop

so when i play MSFS it keeps on crashing, it usally happens when i am playing but has crashed when i was loading into the game, the game will suddenly freeze and then crash to desktop, my computer should be able to handle flight simulator.

1. Press the 'Windows + r' keys and type 'wsreset.exe' (without the quotes)

2. An command prompt window opens and then closes after approximately 10 seconds.

3. The Microsoft Store then opens automatically. Check if the game works properly again.

If it doesn't then Open Powershell in admin mode and paste the following, which I believe reinstalls the default apps on Windows 10.

Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

I had this very same problem and it turned out to be the new nvidia drivers.

I reverted back to older driver and all is fine now.

I found this out by luck because when i first played MSFS i had older drivers, and no issues.

But when i updated my graphics card drivers, i started getting crash to desktop after a random amount of time passed.

Might play fine for 1 min, 5 mins, or a bit longer, then crash.

To fix this, go to DEVICE MANAGER

click on DISPLAY ADAPTERS

click ROLL BACK DRIVER

click OK

My PC specs are

INTEL 9 9900K

64GB RAM

EVGA 2080 TI FTW3

WIN 10

Please, run a system scan:

Open the Terminal window by pressing the Windows Key + X and Select "Terminal (Administrator)".

Type this command: sfc /scannow

Press Enter.

If any error is found, they will be patched.

Then use the DISM command.

On the same Terminal window, type these commands:

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Restart your PC.

After that, reinstall the gaming services:

Open the Terminal window by pressing the Windows Key + X and Select "Open Powershell as Administrator".

Type this command:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

Install the app.

Restart your device and try to install the game again.
