Here's how I fixed it:

Open your start menu

Right click on Microsoft Flight Simulator

Choose More>App Settings

Scroll down to the "Reset" section

Click both the "Repair" button, and also the "Reset" button.

Re-launch Microsoft Flight Simulator

Are you receiving a specific error code while trying to launch the game or is it refusing to launch at all?
Did you recently receive this error after a Windows update or an update with Flight Simulator?
Are any other PC games refusing to launch or having errors other than Flight Simulator?

1) I downloaded the game through Microsoft Store

2) Launch the game with same problem (press any key to start) agian & again

3) then close the game!

4) download Xbox (beta) from Microsoft Store

5) launch Xbox (beta)

6) launch Flight Simulator from Xbox (beta)

7) problem sloved with (press any key to start)

now looks like updating or something?

Still unable to play!

In my case, I uninstalled Xbox Game pass and Flight Simulator, install both again and run

After 5 hours (91GB download) everything was ok!

It's the strategy of the Asobo Studio. This stupid studio deceived the gamers and downgraded the game to sell Microsoft Flight Simulator 2022 or whatever. I cannot even believe how the Microsoft directors made such decision.

You know what? Microsoft Flight Simulator 2022 will have the same graphic with the initial launching of MS Sim 2020.
