    Microsoft Flight Simulator installation goes backwards


    When I am downloading MFS (Microsoft Flight Sim.) it gets stuck and then goes back. It goes well until I get to about 24 or 25% (about 32 GB / 125GB) then the download speed goes to zero and it goes back to 23% (28.67 GB / 125 GB). It is stuck on the 54 / 518 object or "fs-base-effects-0.1.40.fspatch". I have had this problem for I want to say more than a year. I have tried maybe 5 times to uninstall and re-install but the same backtracking happens. I don't remember if it always gets stuck on these exact files. What should I do?

    I am trying to install it on a different drive (HDD). I have the game on Steam.

    Try cleaning out or deleting the community folder before that.

    Hi, Marcus. Would I know if you installed the game on a different drive, or is it installed on your system C: drive?

    Additionally, are you playing the Steam or the Microsoft Store edition?

    May I know if you’re able to temporarily install the game on your C: drive and once installed, move it to the drive you want to use?

    This may be the reason for the problem.
