Microsoft Flight Simulator installation download is too slow

Same issue here and it only affects Microsoft flight simulator, all other gamepass games have downloaded and installed at the full speed of my internet connection and the initial 10Gb installation was fairly smooth, but I cannot play the game without a 130Gb mandatory update and while it started off slow but workable at 20 Mbps it has slowed to a glacial 2.5 Mbit/s on average and so far has taken over 24hrs to download 72%.. I worry that the installation manager says 1/5 at the top and that if there are 4 more parts to this it might be Easter before I can play.

I have the same problem. Yestarday my speed was 250mbit/s and today is 2.5 when my network speed is 1gbit/s today and yestarday

To have my download speed shoot up to 370 and then cascade slowly down to 3.4 and stay there? If it is a decompression utility issue, the game needs to give clearer information to temper our expectations that our download speed is indicative of how long it will be be before an element is playable. And to still have game crashes when streaming data is a bit of a joke to be honest. New content is great. But if the game has fundamental problems that aren't addressed, what's the point?

I've given up, taken weeks to install game and download some content, subscription cancelled going back to Steam.

I have the same problem. I’ve had several issues with the latest update stalling. Currently at 75%, now barely downloading.

7800x3D, RAM 6000 64g, 4090, on fast NVMEs, gigabyte internet.

This is not the first update to do this. It is definitely a Microsoft/Asobo issue. I have never had so many issues with slow updates. It’s to the point that I don’t want to update it, because if I do, then I can kiss that VR session goodbye.
