Microsoft Flight simulator downloader keeps freezing and crashing.

Hello, ive been trying to download microsoft flight simulator 2020 for 2 days now but the launcher which u download and then download the actual game from keeps freezing after only a few gigs have installed. does anyone know how to fix this issue? After it freezes i try to end task with task manager but that ends up freezing too so i can only restart my pc to get it working again, even if i restart i have to turn off my pc from the wall because it then goes into an infinite restart cycle.

my pc is running latest windows 10 and has 16 gigs of ram.

I could avise you two things more to try:

1. Run the SFC tool to find and repair possible system corruptions

2. Perform an in-place upgrade for your system:

If you're on windows 11 steps are the same, you just need to download Windows 11 ISO :

Before that, you could try creating a new NTFS partition and try installing the game there to see how it goes

I am having the same problem my SSD with my FS2020 on got accidentally deleted.

Been trying to reinstall for 3 days now and Microsoft help is totally absent when you try to contact anyone there.

On the Microsoft store it says it is installed

Now when I go to reinstall it says I keep getting the message "Something went wrong" and error code 0x803fb107

I have done an sfc scan and it fixed some files also ran Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth.

But still getting the same message and error code.

I did also get error code 0x00000001 one time.

I think the problem is that it wont install because it hasn't been uninstalled and as the SSD has been deleted I cannot uninstall it.

is there any way I can fix this?

yes, everything is updated im sure of it.

the only time anything ever freezes on my pc is when flight simulator freezes in which it freezes steam, task manager and discord.

Hello Daniel, when you say you have the latest version of Windows installed, you've installed optional system updates as well as the Xbox App, Xbox Services, and Xbox Companion, they're required to run the system in games.

When system freezing really isn't normal, usually when this happens it can be some error in memory or in the operating system kernel

And did you see if this freeze happens with some other game or application that tries to run on the system?

I have deleted those files and uninstalled all those files and uninstalled the

Xbox

Xbox Console Companion

Xbox Live

and have reset the Xbox Games Bar

When I try and install now I get the following
