Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Runway Assignment

When flying under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR), why does the controller almost always assign the wrong runway? They seems to want us to land downwind (with the wind), not upwind (into the wind). Every pilot knows how to select the correct runway based on wind, but MFS 2020 hasn't got a clue. For example, when landing at a pacific island, the wind was 090 at 24 and the program assigned runway 27. It was a tower airport and there IS NO WAY to tell the controller you want the other runway. It forces a circle-to-land in the wrong direction. This is a very bad characteristic of the program that should be fixed as soon as possible.

Sorry, but I have to say that is a totally non-sensical response. It indicates you don't understand a thing about what I'm saying.

You people need to understand Microsoft Flight Simulator is broken in a myriad of ways. This is just one of them. It can't figure out what runway to use, which is a BASIC thing all pilots know how to do. It is a combination of the current wind direction and velocity, and the "normal" or "calm wind" runway airports use (which can vary by time of day). You've got a lot of work to do to fix this problem. I sincerely hope you have a pilot or two on staff and not just a Private Pilot -- go for an Airline Transport Pilot. You need aviation expertise if you're going to field a program like this.

And I don't even want to get into how brain-dead the Air Traffic Control module is. It was far superior (but still mostly brain-dead) in Microsoft Flight Simulator X. You really took a huge step backward with MFS 2020.
